Movie Review: Ghost In The Shell Thursday 30 March, 2017

Ghost in the Shell is a 2017 American science fiction action film[8] directed by Rupert Sanders and written by Jamie Moss, William Wheeler and Ehren Kruger, based on the Japanese manga of the same name by Masamune Shirow. It In the near future, Major (Scarlett Johansson) is the first of her kind: a human who is cyber-enhanced to be a perfect soldier devoted to stopping the world’s most dangerous criminals. When terrorism reaches a new level that includes the ability to hack into people’s minds and control them, Major is uniquely qualified to stop it. As she prepares to face a new enemy, Major discovers that she has been lied to, and her life was not saved. Instead, it was stolen.

My Opinion: It was an interesting story line. The graphics were phenomenal. Very futuristic and hi-tech, since the move clearly is set in the future. Technology is super advance, so advance where you can’t decipher from a human or a robotic-humanoid. Scarlet Johanson plays Major the first robotic-humanoid made who still has her human soul attached to it. She is used as a weapon and an assassin. It’s kind of freaky, to see this storyline played out as it is the trans-human concept of merging robotic with human. Hopefully this will not be a thing of the future.  It’s a lot of twist and turns and layers that unfold and its Majors being a machine but still fighting for her human soul. It was pretty deep and it was a lot of action, but I felt it was a literal soul searching film. No matter how advance technology gets or how robots will take over human jobs and positions, the human soul is still more valuable
