Where to Stay in Atlanta : Loews Atlanta Hotel Tuesday 13 June, 2017

I haven’t done a staycation in a long time but I was inspired to have one as I am leaving for out of the country in a few days. I will talk about my leaving soon and where Im going, but for now lets talk about how amazing my stay was at the Loews Atlanta Hotel. The Loews Atlanta Hotel was the host hotel for the annual Atlanta Food & Wine Festival, which inspired me to stay here. It’s a luxury hotel in the heart of Midtown Atlanta.

If you can recall, I stayed at the Loews Vanderbilt in Nashville which was beautiful so I had to see how the Atlanta one compared. Where-To-Stay-In-Atlanta-The-Loews-Atlanta-Hotel-Travel-Guide

Grand Luxury King Suite loews-atlanta-hotel-review-1

I stay in their Grand Luxury King Suite at the Loews Atlanta as I wanted to take full advantage of my stay within the city with amazing views and a spacious stay. The first thing I notice was the amazing views of the city with the floor to ceiling windows that cascaded on the wall. You get an instant view of the sky rises in Atlanta and really get that city ambiance in natural lighting.

Suite includes:

  • 1 King Bed
  • Separate living room with sofa bed
  • Free Premium Wi-Fi in all guest rooms
  • Dining table for four
  • Oversized bathroom with soaking tub and flat-screen TV
  • Connectivity panel for charging your devices
  • 935 square feet
  • Occupancy: 4 maximum

As you can see in the photo its looks like a really spacious living room decorated with several couches, a huge ottoman, and wonderful flatscreen and entertainment area. The living room area even had it’s own dining room space as well.

Dining area in the living room

loews-atlanta-hotel-review-4

The bedroom is separate from the living and dining room area with its own room. This suite almost makes me feel like I was staying in a one bedroom skyrise apartment.

The bathroom was very impressive! The bathroom was very luxurious with a big sit in tub. One of my favorite things about hotels besides the bed are bathroom and this one was amazing. Definitely upscale and amenities made for the best luxe bathing experience.

Television placement in the wall of the bathroom

I think this is my first suite hotel where there was a television in the bathroom. This was hands down my favorite part of the bathroom. Who knew I would enjoy having this tv inside the bathroom so much. While I got ready, as I bathed in the bathtub and even when I took a shower, I was entertained with the wall television. I definitely got a little spoiled with this feature. FYI* All of the luxury guest bathrooms have a frameless glass shower, separate tub, and a flat-screen TV.

Saltwood Charcuterie & Bar

loews-atlanta-hotel-review-17

Saltwood, located inside the Loews Atlanta Hotel, is Midtown’s newest small-plate-style restaurant. Named for its emphasis on salted, cured meats and classically rustic presentation on wood blocks, this casual eatery features a charcuterie station that serves as the restaurant’s centerpiece. Diners can pull up bar stools to sample house-made and locally sourced items and sip on handcrafted cocktails and local microbrews while watching the restaurant’s charcuterie chef hand-carve meats and assemble charcuterie plates. I had lunch and dinner here and it was amazing. You definitely do not need a reservation to eat here, in fact people come here just to have happy hours in the lounge or meet up for a great meal.

I loved the interior dining decor. I did eat outside but the feel of the restaurant was a modern hipster craft restaurant. Lots of wooden and chalkboard motifs but gives you a comfy feel.  There is an outside patio area, which is where I dined as it was great weather for the summer to enjoy the meal.

I woke up and decided that I wanted to try the in-room Star Service Breakfast. I haven’t had room service in a while, but while I made myself at home here I decided I might as well treat myself to a high quality breakfast.

SALTWOOD SALAD BAR

loews-atlanta-hotel-review-18

I also had lunch at Saltwood and I had to try their famous Salad Bar. FROM THE SALAD BAR choose from  fresh assortment of local lettuces, toppings, dressings, and your choice of daily offerings from the stove to compose your own masterpiece.

loews-atlanta-hotel-review-24

loews-atlanta-hotel-review-25

Hands down one of the best salads I ever had! So many fresh ingredients, fresh made dressings, vinegars and their own pickled items! I loaded up. Their salad bar are really well known that people come to the hotel just to get their salads! I definitely see why. Seriously I am returning just for the salad creations. Oh you can also load up as much chicken, beef and/or shrimp to add for your protein. Amazing!

loews-atlanta-hotel-review-26

I also wanted to add you have to get one of the cold-pressed juices made by Bamboo. I’ve had Bamboo cold-pressed juices before, which are locally created here in Atlanta. If you are like me and really want the freshest intake of nutrients try one, this is the Lemon-Ginger. You all know I love my ginger and this juice was so refreshing!

loews-atlanta-hotel-review-23
