Inside Out 2: Breaking Records as the Highest-Grossing Animated Film Ever! Wednesday 24 July, 2024

Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” has already made a remarkable impact as the most successful theatrical release of 2024, amassing $1.462 billion globally and becoming the highest-grossing animated film of all time. The film has surpassed Disney’s “Frozen 2” (2019) in the animated category and now holds the impressive #13 position in the all-time global box office rankings.

As it enters its sixth week in theaters, “Inside Out 2” has also crossed the $600 million mark at the domestic box office and consistently remains among the top three titles since its debut. With $861 million earned internationally, the film is set to make its final market debut in Japan next week.

Other box office records and milestones include:

Fastest animated film to $1 billion globally (19 days)

Highest-grossing movie of 2024 to date, and the only one to cross $1 billion

Biggest global animation opening of all time ($292 million) and second-biggest domestic animation opening ($154 million)
