My Personal Kiehls Apothecary Preparations Experience Friday 09 March, 2018
I’m excited as the beauty brand Kiehl’s reached out to me to do a very special collaboration featuring their Apothecary Preparations. Kiehl’s Apothecary Preparations, an in-store-only service, is now available in all Kiehl’s retail stores. Apothecary Preparations is truly personalized skincare featuring potent concentrates that address an individual’s unique skin concerns. This personalized skincare is their first-ever customized facial concentrate that is now available throughout the U.S.
I was one of the first in the ATL to try it and have a 1-on-1 consultation (approx. 20 minutes + your very own skincare formulation) by Kiehl’s trained expert. Kiehl’s actually had an on-site photographer capturing my custom Apothecary Preparations Experience. Look at the photos on how it works with the details to follow.
How It Works
Step 1: Diagnosis With the use of a dermatologist-inspired Skin Atlas, customers are guided by the Kiehl’s Customer Representative, or KCR, to assess and rank the severity of their skin concerns. The result of this consultation informs the KCR’s selection of the two essential Targeted Complexes that will comprise the customer’s unique formula.
Step 2: Personalization Following the consultation, two skin-specific Targeted Complexes are selected to accompany Kiehl’s Skin Strengthening Concentrate. Each customer’s personalized box includes her name, details of her personal formula and directions for use. After activating the concentrate at home, Kiehl’s Apothecary Preparations is applied as instructed after cleansing and before a moisturizer.
This was a fun beauty consultation and experience from start to finish. I realize I am concerned about my pores and texture of my skin, but was observed that I have normal to oily skin. My custom Kiehl’s Apothecary Preparations created my own Target Complex formula to help in those area. I wont lie, I didnt have a steady morning or night routine for my face, but now I do. I love this custom product and the packaging was so cute. They create personalized labels, similar to medicated prescription labels with my actual name on the bottle and box. There is even reference numbers so if I run out, I can get a refill! A beauty refill in a apothecary way! I am all for branding and customization so this was an innovative experience I will never forget!

Good skincare is really hard to come by. Especially for people who are like me with sensitive skin. The shop looks so charming and inviting and the workers seem helpful too. What I like most about the brand is that it seems like they have been helping people find there right skincare for several years.
I bet you had a blast, that is so awesome they have really great products. The lip balm is so awesome, my friend gave it to me once and now I love using it.

I have not heard of this experince nor the store. This looks great though because it’s so individually based. You can’t go wrong when a product is made specifically for your skin condition.
