SNEAK PEAK: Disney’s Mary Poppins (TEASER TRAILER) #MaryPoppinsReturn Tuesday 06 March, 2018

I am excited to share with you that Mary Poppins is returning to the big screen. I am too excited to share this, as I grew up on this movie as a little girl. Literally, between The Little Mermaid, I watch the original Mary Poppins movie over and over as a child. It made me want to have a nanny (no I didn’t grow up with one). This movie was known for its amazing musical, the songs were life changing!
Come on we all kind of grew up on Mary Poppins like she was our own nanny, who can forget one of the most famous songs for the longest word ever, ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’? I dont think I ever used that word in my life, but its a song you will never forget or get out of your head. It just means fantastic. I will be honest, I had to google how to spell that correctly. But this movie was about the song…another favorite ‘A Spoonful of Sugar‘. Where has there been another song in the history of musical for kids where it encouraged you to take medicine? Only Mary Poppins could make taking nasty medicine sound delightful. I never got a chance to do the sugar method to get the medicine to go down, but the song did help me take medicine better. Singing the tune in my head helped me psychologically. I miss Mary Poppins, and I am glad she is returning so the new generation of kids can enjoy her too!
In the sequel, which arrives in theaters this Christmas, Mary Poppins is back to help the next generation of the Banks family find the joy and wonder missing in their lives.
TEASER TRAILER
MARY POPPINS RETURNS stars Emily Blunt as the practically-perfect nanny with unique magical skills who can turn any task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure; Lin-Manuel Miranda as her friend Jack, an optimistic street lamplighter who helps bring light—and life—to the streets of London; Ben Whishaw as Michael Banks; Emily Mortimer as Jane Banks; and Julie Walters as the Banks’ housekeeper Ellen; with Colin Firth as Fidelity Fiduciary Bank’s William Weatherall Wilkins; and Meryl Streep as Mary’s eccentric cousin, Topsy. The film also introduces three new Banks’ children played by Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and newcomer Joel Dawson. Angela Lansbury appears as the Balloon Lady, a treasured character from the PL Travers books and Dick Van Dyke is Mr. Dawes Jr., the retired chairman of the bank now run by Firth’s character.
