Thirteen Pies | Buckhead Atlanta Food Review Monday 24 August, 2015
I am loving the new Buckhead Atlanta Shoppes. If you are living in Atlanta or even if you are not, it’s literally the Atlanta version of California’s Rodeo drive. Luxury shopping and eating and an overall experience in the city. I was invited by top food blogger Erica of Eating With Erica at Media Dinner at Thirteen Pies. It was an amazing spread of variation of the Italian based restaurant’s delectable food. Myself and several food bloggers and journalist were in for a treat with the plethora of great dishes we were presented with at Thirteen Pies.

Every Monday evening, Thirteen Pies hosts an “industry night,” offering half-priced food for all restaurant industry employees as well.
The thirteenth pie is a huge promotion for them – the “mystery pie” rotates about every three to four weeks, with new pies introduced as well as popular ones “recycled” throughout the year. This is a way to keep guests interested and coming back each month for something new! Along the same lines, there is a “features board” in the restaurant with the Thirteenth Pie description, along with other specials – salads, small plates and more. They aren’t just like any other restaurant specials – they’re featured for a limited time, too, and are true customer favorites rather than just one-time “tests.”
DESSERT
blueberry, lemon curd & semolina pistachio crumble
ZEPPOLE
seasonal jam & honey for dipping
Thirteen Pies Located in Buckhead Atlanta, is an artisanal and authentic pizza destination perfect for date night, group outings and a slice of something a bit different. It’s a concept from Dallas-based Raised Palate Restaurants, with locations in Fort Worth and soon-to-open Houston, and is sister restaurant to Buckhead Atlanta neighbor American Food & Beverage. Varying from the traditional “pizza parlor,” the menu boasts appetizers such as the renowned baked goat cheese, chef-driven salads, house-made pastas, thirteen different pies, ranging in flavors and fresh toppings and last but not least, seasonal desserts. The famed “thirteenth pie” rotates monthly and the description can be found on the “features board,” which also displays a selection of special (and delicious) small plates available throughout the week. Join the team for lunch or dinner any day of the week – a perfect date night spot or place for a girls night out, with a menu made for sharing and delicious cocktails!
