KIWI SAID: YOU’RE NEVER TOO OLD Thursday 31 January, 2013

This post is dedicated to myself as a reminder to always have a young spirit no matter how old I am turning. By the way, I have a birthday coming up (exactly next week on Feb.6th) and I did an amazing photo shoot with A Burns Photography at Pink Pastry Parlor (Phipps Plaza Location) to show off my youthful side.

So grateful to turn another year younger! How old am I turning? 16? 21? Let’s just say 21…yeah I am turning 21 (again) yay! I did this fun photo shoot to showcase my youthfulness and my inifinite love for Hello Kitty. Everyone who know’s me is already aware that I am obsessed in love with Miss Kitty. With my birthday theme being dedicated to her someone asked me recently “Why do you love Hello Kitty so much? You need to outgrow that! She is for little girls!” Of course I was insulted that this person dare say Hello Kitty was for little girls (nu-uh!) but that statement brought to my attention something important. She associated Hello Kitty with little girls which meant that if I was over a certain age I wasn’t allowed to enjoy all the products Sanrio has to offer.

Hello Kitty means more to me than just some girly product that is advertised to young girls (and adult women). She is the most brandable product in the Universe, so being in the public relations/advertising/marketing field I have that love for the Hello Kitty brand (and she is also super cute hello?!).  Hello Kitty is a fun, quirky cute product that always reminds me no matter what that I will always want to be youthful (not immature).

It doesn’t really matter the age I turn, what matters is how youthful I feel and I wrote something motivational for everyone having a birthday this year (yes including you)!

“You’re Never Too Old to Be Youthful!”

“What is considered youthful? A person’s age or appearance? Being youthful is not about age or looks as much as it’s more so a free-spirit with a happy outlook on life. Getting older does mean we are growing further away from child-like behavior but doesn’t mean we cannot have a young-minded spirit. Youthfulness is about having fun, enjoying life, taking in new experiences, smiling more, excitement and cheers. Do not let additional candles on a cake subtract less happiness into your life experience. One can be youthful and mature at the same time. Each year older can mean infinite youthfulness. Be Forever Youthful!” #KiwiSaid
