Astor Chocolate + Wine Tasting at the ATL Hawks Game Monday 18 April, 2016
Atlanta is becoming a pretty cool place for events as this is my second Hawks Game VIP suite style event, this time featuring Astor Chocolate. Can you say spoiled?? I love that brands are just having standard events, they are making it an experience by doing tastings while watching basketballs. Astor Chocolate treated myself and Atlanta Food Blogger Society members to an intimate exclusive chocolate and wine tasting of this upscale brand of sweets. Who thought of this?! This is interesting wine + chocolate + basketball…let’s not get logical with it lets have fun and that’s what we did!
I will be honest I never had Astor Chocolate prior to this VIP tasting event, but it was a very interactive experience. They gave us all our own individual box of Astor Truffles packaged so pretty – it’s not even my birthday! We had an array of premium chocolate samples and truffles from hazelnut, raspberry filled, passion fruit filled and traditional rich chocolate paired with both white and red wine. I love drinking wine and the older I get the more I do want to learn what pairs well with them and yes there is a science to paring with chocolate.
Fun with the Atlanta Food Blogger’s Society during the game in Atlanta for the tasting. I am not a member yet, but I think pretty soon I will be. As you all notice Kiwi The Beauty has been doing some Kiwi The Foodie post lately too…so more than likely the momentum will pick up as I join this group!
I want to thank Astor Chocolates for introducing us to their tasty rich chocolate and giving us some premium chocolate boxes to take home! The chocolates make amazing gifts for many occasions and different varieties to gift a special person (or your dang self). On the behalf of an almost-member of the Atlanta Food Bloggers Society, great event and even tastier chocolate. I am a fan and definitely looking into gifting some of my loved ones with this chocolate in the near future.

Oh my God. They need to do this here! Our national sport is football and if they did wine and chocolate tastings I would happily go along to every match!!
Now that is an awesome experience. The flavors sound really good and the chocolates themselves are pretty!
Looks like you had a really great time! Wine + chocolate + basketball sounds like a really intriguing combination. I usually do not pair my chocolate with wine, but I might try it next time.

Chocolate and wine is one of my favorite combinations. So is really cold champage and salty french fries.
Those chocolates look beautiful. I think I would be happier watching a basketball game if I were eating chocolate.
You had me at chocolate….those look so good….I would love to be at such an event
Who wouldn’t want a box of chocolates right? They are the absolute best. Wine pairing is a very interesting topic for me, there’s just so much you pair with wine, and the flavors just make the experience more fun and memorable!

Ah..nothing beats chocolates and wine in the evening.
Two of my very favorite things in life, wine and gourmet chocolate. They are fabulous on their own, but even better together. What a fun blog post. I think I need to try this out.
I’ve heard of them. I’m happy to get a closer look at them. Yum!
I don’t drink, so not, I don’t pair chocolate with wine ☺ BUT, I don’t think i would need too either! I would enjoy an entire box of those chocolates with relish – all by themselves!!
This looks like a super amazing time. Who wouldn’t want to eat chocolate and drink wine during a basketball game? Those chocolates look absolutely delicious and I will be looking to try them myself.
I have always heard that Astor chocolate is delicious. I didn’t realize how pretty it was! It sounds like you guys had a great time.

So completely jealous! What a fun experience. Chocolate and Wine? And a Hawks Game? How could you not LOVE it?! I haven’t been to a wine tasting in a few years, so much fun.

Oh my goodness, those chocolates look devine! I must say that I’m not a fan of wine so I would forgo the wine tasting. I’d definitely be keen to try one of each of those beautiful looking chocolates though!
Those are some of the prettiest chocolates I think I’ve ever seen! A wine and chocolate tasting event would be so much fun with a group of other bloggers!I need to get my hands on some of that chocolate, for sure!
I’m not a big chocolate fan but I do indulge from time to time. #FatSnacks I do love the wine and I love sports. Looks like a great event.
It looks like a wonderful time. You can’t go wrong with chocolate, wine and basketball!
This looks like a really good time! I would love to go to a Hawks game. Here in Iowa there isn’t much to offer in the sports area. They have a lot of fans of college football but I just can’t get into that. I would like to spend a day like this out there if I get to visit!
I am incredibly jealous right now. There are few things that I enjoy more than a beautifully crafted, delicious chocolate! Being pretty makes them taste better, I swear by it. They are never too pretty to eat though!
You had me at chocolate and VIP! Those look absolutely delicious!
I am not a wine drinker or an ATL Hawks fan, but I will take some chocolates. I haven’t tried Astor chocolates before, but they do look amazing! The squares look like they’d be my favorite.
What a fun event! Those chocolates look delicious.

I am not familiar with Astor chocolate and not sure I have seen it in the part of the U.K. Where I am at but I will be searching for it now as it looks yummy to miss out on
