The holidays are here and if you can have a wish what would you wish for? What if your Godmother manifested right before your eyes? This cute new Disney+ original film GODMOTHERED puts revamps your traditional happily ever after story.
Set at Christmas time, GODMOTHERED is a comedy about Eleanor, a young, inexperienced fairy godmother-in-training (Jillian Bell) who upon hearing that her chosen profession is facing extinction, decides to show the world that people still need fairy godmothers. Finding a mislaid letter from a 10-year-old girl in distress, Eleanor tracks her down and discovers that the girl, Mackenzie, is now a 40-year-old single mom (Isla Fisher) working at a news station in Boston. Having lost her husband several years earlier, Mackenzie has all but given up on the idea of “Happily Ever After,” but Eleanor is bound and determined to give Mackenzie a happiness makeover, whether she likes it or not.
TRAILER
GODMOTHERED is a fun film about modernization of the “Godmother” industry. It gives a new perspective of fairytales and how it is incorporated in today’s society. If you love the holiday classic “Elf” you might feel some strong similarities to that film and Godmothered. I love that it was set in Boston as it gives the perfect holiday backdrop with the weather and snow! I feel this is going to be a great holiday film full of laughs and memorable messages. I highly recommend watching this film with the family this season. This year has been a lot, and I feel GODMOTHERED is the movie that can give us the magical escape we all need this season!
This movie looks like so much fun! I think we all need to lose ourselves in this kind of Disney story after this year. Love the storyline and will look forward to enjoying this with the rest of the family, especially having just seen the trailer. It looks like it will be really entertaining.
Seems like a great movie,I can’t wait to watch it
Sometimes we need to watch fantasy movies,to remind us that nothing’s impossible.
I love this comedic take on the classic fairy godmother theme. I think a movie like this is something we can all use right now.
This movie looks too cute! I think my kids are going to love it. My husband and I love to watch movies like this with them.
This movie looks like exactly the kind of light hearted fun we all need this year! Can’t wait to watch. 🙂
I wanna watch this movie! Why is it only available on Disney?

I read about this movie in another article too. Seems I have to watch it with my son and especially after reading about the plot.
We JUST finished this movie tonight and I LOVED IT! All three of my kids did. And my oldest (boy who is 8) didn’t want to watch a ‘princess’ movie. But the girls just went to bed and now we’re watching it again — HIS REQUEST!!
this looks like an amazing film to watch while being on quarantine. will check this one out! <3
I would love some escape, something different from my usual crime movies and fantasy. But I might have to wait to watch this till it’s available elsewhere. We don’t get Disney here, just Netflix
That looks like a fun chick-flick to watch with my boys, haha! They love watching with me. I need to register for a Disney + account first. Been thinking of doing so in a while, but never had the chance to do it just yet.
Awe what a cute movie! Thanks for sharing this, so cute girl! Can’t wait to watch!
