Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz even though his family has banned music for generations. Miguel feels the music in his sole. He believes that he is somehow connected to his idol…that maybe his idol is his great grandfather. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel steals the guitar of Ernesto de la Cruz, only to find himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events.
