DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS REVIEW: A MULTITUDE OF SURPRISES Friday 06 May, 2022

Are we going multiverse crazy lately? 2022 what’s going on with all of the Multi-verse films?!

Marvel is adding Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to the summer starter movie lin-up of multi-versing (is that a word?).

Prior to this film’s release we have A24’s Everything Everywhere All at Once that was a pretty intense multi-verse film in itself. I would highly recommend a double feature movie week & watch both A24’s Everything Everywhere All at OnceDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to get multiversed up in the movie theaters. It will be “trippy” for sure!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (also known as Doctor Strange 2/DS2) is also a double sequel to “Avengers: Endgame” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home.  It might also be a triple sequel Disney Plus’s  “WandaVision,” the show that expanded the Marvel Cinematic Universe into television.

CHARACTER POSTERS

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness details Strange’s mission to protect America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), a young girl with the ability the travel between dimensional realities.

I just want to say, watching Marvel and being apart of the MCU is a multiverse in itself! The MCU with their films and now streaming shows is network of content — a universe, like our own, in which everything is expanding outward, its multi-dimensional characters and storylines projecting in. Multitude directions flipping from sequel between films and now tv series. The cameos and callbacks is what makes the MCU unique.

I will not be giving any spoilers, but I would like to share that the multiverse in this film is so expanded we will be getting cameos from characters outside of the MCU! I truly didn’t expect it but it’s a great “crossover” surprise and very possible in a multiverse where anything can happen!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
takes on a strong horror element, but not too much where there is still a barrier between the gore & blood and killings. This film actually pushes the boundaries of PG-13 than any of the previous films as dark & wildly imaginative creation from the twisted mind of Sam Raimi. Get ready to enter the portals that will take you to the multiverse to jumpstart your summer!

#DoctorStrange In The Multiverse of Madness is in theaters May 6th
