The First SUV From the Ford Performance Team
From its Ford Performance tuned suspension to an array of Ford Co-Pilot360TM Technology and impressive body lines, ST is not a vehicle that will go unnoticed. The first SUV to get the ST treatment, short for sport technology, is the Edge ST. So I was really excited to drive this 2019 Ford Edge ST! I always talk about that I am becoming more and more of a fan of modern SUVs and honestly the Ford Edge ST didnt disappoint! Delivered to me in the radiant color of Ford’s Performance Blue, I got a chance to drive in-state on a great staycation in this power SUV!
While driving this beautiful smooth sailing sporty SUV, I took advantage and travel within my own state on a staycation to Hotel Avalon. Although this isnt a traditional road trip, its still 1 hour away from my city to travel to Alpharetta to visit this swanky suburban community and town. 2019 Ford Edge ST deets
The new Edge – including all-new Edge ST – is Ford’s smartest SUV ever, and every model comes standard with more driver-assist technology than any other midsize SUV. This includes Forward Collision Warning and Dynamic Brake Support; Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection; BLIS® with Cross-Traffic Alert; Lane-Keeping Alert; Lane-Keeping Assist; Auto High Beams; and Hill-Start Assist. In addition, standard safety features include AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ and Curve Control, and 911 Assist®.
For 2019, Edge introduces the following first-for-Ford and first-in-segment features as either standard or available equipment:
Post-Collision Braking: Helps reduce the impact of a potential secondary collision by automatically applying moderate brake pressure when an initial collision event is detected; slowing the vehicle can potentially lessen injury to occupants and damage to the vehicle
Evasive Steering Assist: Helps drivers steer around stopped or slower vehicles to help avoid collisions. Designed to operate at city and highway speeds, it uses radar and a camera to detect slower-moving and stationary vehicles ahead and provides steering support to enable drivers to maneuver around a vehicle if a collision is imminent
Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering: Helps the vehicle maintain a comfortable driving distance from vehicles ahead and helps reduce stress during long, light-traffic road trips by helping keep the vehicle centered in its lane

Grandpa was a great fan of the Ford. Used to say, it is an honor to have one. But I think they have still been the same classic. I both love and hate it about Ford.
Seeing this SUV makes me think of a week-long road trip! The car must be so comfortable and really good for going through the rough roads too. It looks so sleek, I see why you went for a trip to the beautiful hotel Avalon!
The new Edge seems like a wonderful car. Great that the standard model comes with more driver-assist technology than any other midsize SUV. It has amazing features such as Forward Collision Warning and Dynamic Brake Support; Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection; BLIS® with Cross-Traffic Alert.
This looks like a great SUV. My son is going to get his first car soon as he is done with the necessary paperwork. I think this Ford Edge would be a perfect choice. I love all its safety features!
Overall I like it, I drive a 2013 Ford Edge Sport. It’s fully loaded and I freaking love my truck. I don’t love the new shade of blue. My blue is deeper and a bit more brilliant in color. The new lane assist feature is nice. My husband has been telling me all about it. I think he might get one too. I love the SUV size and handling plus it has bomb get up and go.
Who doesn’t love a great SUV? I’ve been noticing a LOT of blue cars these days, I think it’s such a in color. I’ve got my eyes on an SUV for my next wheels.
The Ford Edge ST looks like such a great SUV! Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go is an especially great feature! I’ll consider it when it’s time for me to get a new car. I could use all the extra features I can get driving around LA!
The ford edge definitely looks like a great vehicle. I somehow don’t find the fluidity of the design appealing but then, it’s my taste. I am hoping the endurance is high. I will check it out soon 🙂
I have always been interested in Ford Edges. Nice to look at and very good on gas mileage. What is there not to like. I did not know that they have evasive steering assist which really helps on slick roads or snow.

I am not really a car enthusiast and happy for years with my existing one. But this Ford version looks exciting with its looks and features. Live this blue.

I think it looks great! The technology these days is a bit much for me. It almost seems like a tesla in that it could almost drive itself since you say it helps the car stay in the center of the lane on long road trips. I like the picture of you driving it. You look like you’re having a great time!
