{Event Recap} Sprinkles Cupcakes Atlanta VIP Opening Tuesday 04 February, 2014
Sprinkle’s Atlanta is finally here! Sprinkles, the world’s 1st original cupcake bakery has expanded its franchise to the Peach State as of late January. Ok this is a very special post for me because, I adore Sprinkles (but I never had it until the VIP opening party). Anyone who knows me knew I was a cakepop maker, but did you know I wanted to have my own cupcake business 1st? I was inspired by Candace Nelson, owner of Sprinkles Cupcakes, and with that the cupcake business boom happened. And now with millions of cupcake bakeries around the country – Sprinkles have touched down in Atlanta at Lenox Square Mall.
Sprinkles Cupcakes are handcrafted and are available in more than 50 different flavors, including banana, chai latte, dark chocolate, strawberry and red velvet. Although the brand is called “sprinkles”, ironically the cupcakes opt out of using traditional sprinkles for its iconic sprinkle circles as toppings instead. The baked goods retailer has expanded its offerings to include ice cream, non-dairy sorbets, shakes, malts and root beer floats.
So as you can see above I was able to taste a plethora of dessert deliciousness from cupcakes, mini cupcakes and even a shake! The Red Velvet shake (pictured aboved) was so delicious! OMG and it had crumbled red velvet cupcakes insides. Who does that? Who crumbles cupcakes and put it in a shake? Sprinkles does and it was good (but you have to request it). You can also request crumbled cupcakes on your ice creams as toppings! ::Score::
I told you I am Sprinkles Cupcake fan, but I am a huge CUPCAKE WARS fan. The owner of Sprinkles is also a judge on the hit Food Network show Cupcake wars, and my blogger dreams came true. I did come to the Media Vip Dinner to try out the Sprinkles Cupcakes, but meeting Candace was huge for me. Literally, Cupcake Wars is my top 5 shows!
Upon meeting the woman didn’t invent cupcakes – just the cupcake bakery, is a very sweet and humble person. I thanked her tremendously for expanding her brand to the Atlanta area, in which she disclose “I’ve been trying to get Sprinkles to Atlanta for five years. I knew years ago Sprinkles should have a home in Atlanta.” Wow. So all this time I’m thinking I would have to go to Cali or NY to get my Sprinkles fix and she was already conjuring outlets to bring it to Atlatnta. She made a great choice and a perfect location. Thanks Candace for thinking of the Atliens.
I was able to sample so great treats, but my favorite (recommended by Oh Nikka!) is the Blood Orange Sorbet. When I say delish, I mean – this blown me away. I love my frozen treats, but this takes the cake (kind of literally). I been obsessing over their cupcakes, but I almost forgot I was eating a cupcake shoppe while indulging in this goodness. If you make a stop a sprinkles – get a sample of this and I PROMISE you will want an entire cup.
The fun just doesn’t stop at Sprinkles Cupcakes. They also make cute little designer & special occasion cupcakes to go with any theme or to jazz up a festivities. I though the “Will You Marry Me” cupcakes were the cutest thing. Propose to me with cupcakes and a nice ring and that’s a guarantee YES. I also adore the Beverly Hills logo cupcakes that pays homage to the birthplace of Sprinkles Cupcakes. One day I will make it there to fulfill my California Dreams.
So if you thought Sprinkles was done spoiling us with cupcakes, shakes, sorbets, and ice cream, they also have cookies. The sweet tooth addicts are going to have a field day as they have fresh baked cookie variety as well as sell the cookie dough for you to make at home.
My Sprinkles Cupcake experience was a blast. Yummy in my tummy and I can wait to pick up my next order of cupcakes soon (birthday is coming up so that is happening sooner than later). I took home so many cupcakes I’m ashamed to tell you all, but overall it was worth it. Next time I go, I am trying out the Cupcake ATM. You heard that correctly, you can get cupcakes dispensed to you without entering the shoppe if you are on-the-go.

Cupcakes are my kryptonite! Those look so cool, too. I love how they are decorated!
Now I am hungry for cupcakes! I love the cute decorations on them. What a fun experience for you!
I’d like a Sprinkles adventure too. 🙂 Everything looks deeelish!
Those are all great cupcakes! I would have loved to eat my way through that event!

Mitch
I can’t believe I didn’t seek this out last week when I was in Atlanta. I’ll be staying within walking distance of Sprinkles in September!!
I’ve only had Sprinkles once, while visiting California last year. It was definitely an experience that everyone must taste.
But also, I CANNOT believe you met Candace! I love Cupcake Wars as well so I am super jealous!
Okay, now I want a cupcake before bed. Those sweet treats look mouth-watering.
What adorable goodies! I would go straight for the sherbet!
Oh yum looks like there was plenty of tasty treats.I would of been all over those cupcakes.
Everything looks so tasty! And I would’ve definitely left with some cookie dough to make at home too!
Do I ever wish we had a Sprinkles in Canada! Looks like the event was a blast.
I’ll take one of every flavor, please! You go to amazing events…this one is delish!

I too love Cupcake Wars! I have never been to a Sprinkles…I will definitely have to find one in my area.
Aaaand, now I want cupcakes. That sorbet also looks like something I should be eating!
Those cupcakes look delicious! What a fun event!
Holy Cupcakes! I want 2 of each. Those look fantastic!
You can never have two many cupcake stores…beautiful cupcakes!
I seriously think I gained 5 pounds just reading this post. I adore a good bakery shop. Cupcakes are so much fun. I like how this shop also incorporates other things as well.
These cupcakes look so divine! I bet they taste yummy. That looked like a great event
I have yet to hit up Sprinkles….I had no idea they had sorbet. Now I need to take a trip!
Those cupcakes look delicious. I wish I could get some Sprinkles cupcakes.
I’ve never been to a Sprinkles before. I know I am SO missing out !
I so wish I lived near there. They look so tasty.
I love a good cupcake shop! I’m in Atlanta quite a bit and will have to pop in for a treat.
Yum, I LOVE Sprinkles. We don’t have one here but when I was in Beverly Hills, I stopped in one and omg!!
Mmmmmm, I love Sprinkles cupcakes. I love how cupcakes are the new cake at every event. Who needs cake anymore.
You know what I like about those cupcakes in the pictures? They have the right amount of frosting. I HATE those cupcakes that have 3+ inches of frosting…the ratio of cake to frost is wrong. The ones you posted though….perfect!
Yay sprinkles is THE BEST! I go to the la one all the time!
Oh, man. I would have a field day up in there! Cupcakes, ice cream, sweet treats! What’s not to love!?!?
I am a Sprinkles virgin! Can’t wait to try them. My mouth is watering! LOL
I love sprinkles, I repeat I Love sprinkles. You can never have too much of a good thing
Now THIS would be a fun event to go to!! I love your photos, everything looks so good!!
Everything look amazing! I love orange sherbet so that would have been the first thing I’d want to try.
