Myrtle Beach was really good to me! Who knew it was such a Foodie City? Well I learned as I was still on my mini press trip in town and go to eat at Art Burger Sushi Bar. It is the sister restaurant to The Chemist Bar I reviewed and let just say this is another place who keeps up with a great theme. The theme here is art of course, and it was an artistic experience I have never had in a restaurant before. From the decor to the food, everything is art inspire. Food and art goes hand and hand so another innovative place to eat and experience.

ART Burger Sushi Bar is located at 700 N. Ocean Blvd. in Myrtle Beach, oceanfront very close to the Myrtle Beach tourist area Boardwalk. It specializes in gourmet burgers with grass-fed and hormone- and antibiotic-free beef, creatively tasty sushi and liquid nitrogen cocktails, in  a cozy but super artistic and friendly atmosphere. It’s definitely a place where you eat with your eyes first!

Liquid Nitrogen Cocktail

Like their sister restaurant, they love using liquid nitrogen in their adult beverages here too. At Art Burger Sushi Bar they have a twist as they present it to you in a dish where your cocktail actual reacts to the liquid nitrogen and turns it into a cocktail sorbet! This seems like a science themed drink, but no its still artistic as it comes smokey and pretty with the garnishes. Come on when was the last time you at your cocktail as a sorbet with dreamy smoke coming out of it? Oh and it was super delish!

The Art Burger Ground Beef Patty, Thickly Sliced Bacon, Marinated Red Onion, Blue Cheese Crumbles, and Walnut Chutney

This Art Burger is one of a kind, as each one is personally branded with the ART logo stamp each meal. Again its all about presentation with this place, when was the last time you were served a burger like this?  Also many of the burgers are named after famous artist so you could get a Monet, El Greco, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Van Gogh, Kahlo, Sargent, The Dali and of course you can get a Picasso burger! Pick your favorite artist and eat is as a burger!

Burger Roll Hamburger, Lettuce, Onion, Cheddar Cheese, and Ketchup

I have been to a similar Burger sushi roll place in Atlanta, but this was a little different. It take just like a burger wrapped in a sushi roll with a crunchy onion ring to complete the fusion. Innovative!

Fried Chicken Roll Crispy Fried Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese, with BBQ Sauce

You read this right. Fried Chicken Roll. I never thought I would live to see the day where fried chicken and sushi would marry. It was good with Mac and Cheese on top! What a fusion of flavors! The South Meets Sushi!

Dragon Roll Broiled Unagi, Sweet Sauce, Cucumbers, and Avocado

Of course we got some traditional sushi rolls too. I am really starting to believe sushi and burgers are great food combos together. I had to get some of my favorite sushi rolls which were the Dragon and Tiger Rolls.

Omakase Sushi Chef will used his artistic experience and design a roll prepared special

art-burger-sushi-bar-myrtle-beach-food-review-7 One of the most creative rolls ever presented to me was the Omaske roll here. I love the presentation of this roll as it came out with a smoked glassed dome for special effect and enchantment on whats to come with this roll. Each roll will be different, so if you order the Omakase you are ordering for the artistic surprise element. Our roll was really good and different. I want to say this may have had eel in it this time with smoked salmon on the top.

So we cannot have an Art Burger Sushi Bar place without actual art. The place when you enter and leave is filled with art all over the walls looking like a mini gallery. Most of the art is amazing done by the owner of this place mother, who finger paints all the art canvas pieces. There is a cool story behind the artist, so she had a stroke years ago, leaving her memory impaired but her artistic abilities stayed intact. She stayed motivated by starting to produce these beautiful fingered painted art pieces as you see here, and they are displayed in the restaurant for decor and purchase. Weekly she comes in the morning and post in the front area of the place and does a new piece to add to this location. She has all types of paintings such as portraits, animals and what I see to be a favorite of hers is native American mystical pieces. I still cant get over how all of these are hand painted. Local artist have also contributed some art to this location for sale as well. I would definitely want to add some of her art to my home. Great extra personal touch to the place to complete the art experience here.
