Jasmin Foster recognized a significant gap in the stationery market—one that didn’t truly reflect her experiences or those of other women of color. In 2020, she decided to take action and founded Be Rooted, a brand dedicated to inclusivity and empowerment. Her mission was clear: to create a space where women of color could discover stationery that resonates with their identities and dreams.

Driven by her desire to make an impact, she teamed up with talented Black and Brown artists to curate a vibrant collection of journals, planners, and writing instruments. By 2021, Be Rooted made history as the first and only Black-owned stationery brand to be featured at Target and on Target.com. This is more than just stationery; it’s a vibrant celebration of culture and creativity that allows everyone to see themselves reflected in the products they use every day.
