EXCITING NEW TRAILER FOR WALT DISNEY ANIMATION STUDIOS’ “MOANA 2” UNVEILED AT D23: THE ULTIMATE DISNEY FAN EVENT
Get ready to sea the excitement, because we’ve just received waves of news about “Moana 2”! Moana, Maui, Heihei, Pua the pig, and the dart-wielding Kakamora are all back—and that’s just the beginning of this thrilling new big-screen adventure. The latest trailer and poster for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Moana 2” have just dropped, and it’s set to hit theaters on November 27, 2024!

The trailer made quite a splash at the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, where stars Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson took the stage together for the first time ever. Cravalho amazed the crowd with a live performance of one of the film’s new songs, “We’re Back,” accompanied by talented dancers and drummers from Nonosina Polynesia, led by Tiana Liufau—the same genius who contributed choreography to the original “Moana.” Johnson got everyone hyped up with a spirited “chee hoo!” chant that echoed through the venue.
We also learned more about the voice cast, with beloved returning stars like Rachel House as Moana’s Grandma Tala, Temuera Morrison as Chief Tui, and Nicole Scherzinger as Moana’s mother, Sina. New voices joining the crew include Hualālai Chung, David Fane, and Rose Matafeo as Moana’s new friends Moni, Kele, and Loto. Plus, Awhimai Fraser will voice a mysterious new character named Matangi, Gerald Ramsey will portray Moana’s ancestor Tautai Vasa, and Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda will bring to life Moana’s adorable little sister, Simea.
