1983 National Lampoon’s Vacation Movie

Vacation Movie (contination of the 1983 classic)

TRAILER

My Opinion: Ok I am going to get straight into my review. This is clearly a continutation off of the original National Lampoon’s Vacation movie from 30 years ago. Let me tell you right now, I did not see the 1983 original National Lampoon’s Vacation film. I love Chevy Chase actually, but this movie was a little before my time…and this is why remakes/continuation series are so important. This isn’t a remake, because it’s actually a great spin on the series as the Griswald’s children have grown up, have their own families and now take their own family vacations! This is a modern version of the Griswalds…and boy the modern version clearly have potty mouths!

I will say even though I didn’t see the original, I didn’t need to see it to follow the story and enjoy this film. I was laughing the entire time. It was rarely a time in the film I wasn’t laughing! The children are a mess, two boys polar opposites of each other. The oldest son is well behaved and isnt a troublemaker who is into learning about nature, and the younger pre-teen son a complete mess loaded with a full curseword filled language and very crass and a bully! The parents are planning their annual family vacation with a bit of a twist going cross country to Griswald’s beloved childhood themed park at Wallyworld…but not without drama along the way of course. Again, if you are into laughing throughout an entire movie and dry humor tickles your fancy…this is the movie for you. If you are trying to see a nice wholesome vacation themed movie where you can take the whole family…I would recoomend against it please! The language is too vulgar and some of the content is a little explicit for your kids…so please leave your kids at home. This is nice adult-filled humor. It pokes fun of the modern wholesome American picture perfect family…and we need to break up that menotony sometimes. Love this film…and yes Mr.Chevy Chase makes an apperance in this film – he had to!

I highly recommend to see this movie before the summer is up! Great way to enjoy the rest of your summer and send those kids off to school with a laugh *FYI I still recommend this movie is NOT for children*!
