[RECAP] THE LARGEST NATURAL BEAUTY FESTIVAL CURLFEST 2018 Thursday 26 July, 2018
I finally got a chance to attend my first CurlFest and it was nothing short of epic. I am someone who loves festivals so much and this particular festival is one that I have been wanting to attend for years. I help celebrate the 5 Year Anniversary of CURLFEST, which was hosted in Prospect Park in Brooklyn, NYC.
This is the time to be creative, beautiful, fashionable and just great energy. I know this festival seem like the focal point is hair, but it is definitely more than that. It started off mostly about hair but I think its really about vibes. Look Wakanda has nothing on CurlFest, check out some of my photos of my attendance and all of the beautiful free spirited people below!
CurlFest isn’t just about curls as I stated earlier. As you can see its about creativity and freedom. This is just a fraction of what I experienced. There was music, there was laughter, there were so many hair and beauty vendor but most of all it was a great time. I enjoyed my first CurlFest and I will be back next year!

I’ve never attended CurlFest but I’ve wanted to go. The creative vibe just looks amazing! I know there were some complaints this year as the festival grows but I hope they resolve them and people continue to have a great experience.
One of the things I love about Curl Fest is that people boldy share their individual style. Everyone has something unique going on. From the hairstyles to the fashion to the celebration of the black culture. You get all of that at Curl Fest.

Wow, you’re making me wish I was there. Every time I go home to NY it’s usually for a quick trip. I need to plan to go in 2019.
