Ride Along 2 The Brothers-In-Law Are Back! | Movie Review Friday 15 January, 2016
Ride Along 2 is back for a sequel installment of their popular movie series! Last Year the original film was such a hit that the consumers demanded a part two for this film! This is a super funny comedy action film starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube! The unlikely duo is back for another “Ride Along” but this time in Miami! I went to the Atlanta VIP movie screening as Will Packer, Tika Sumpter & Sherri Shepard.

Synopsis: Rookie lawman Ben Barber (Kevin Hart) aspires to become a detective like James Payton (Ice Cube), his future brother-in-law. James reluctantly takes Ben to Miami to follow up on a lead that’s connected to a drug ring. The case brings them to a homicide detective and a computer hacker who reveals evidence that implicates a respected businessman. It’s now up to James and Ben to prove that charismatic executive Antonio Pope is actually a violent crime lord who rules southern Florida’s drug trade. (via wiki).
My Opinion: This is a funny family friendly comedy and action movie. It’s not too many action movies that are family friendly (well rated PG-13). It’s not too crude and the violence is not too explicit! Kevin Hart is Kevin he always knows how to make the comedic relief with only his mannerism. Surprisingly enough they didn’t make too many short jokes in the movie, which is good because it’s obvious by now that those jokes can’t always be the highlight of his career. Ken plays Ben + Ice Cube plays James, in which Ben is stilling trying to prove himself as a future detective and brother-in-law to James. The go from Atlanta (in which the movie was filmed here too) and travel to Miami to get into more Ride Along ventures. If you saw the first one and love it, you will be pleased with this one as well. Will Packer (the producer) knows how to make well-rounded movies that can be enjoyed across genders, races and age demographics.

My husband has been wanting to go see this movie. Thanks for the review! I always like to check out some reviews before I go watch a movie. It’s to expensive anymore to pay to go to the movies and it end up being a total flop!
I can’t tell you the last time I saw a movie made for adults! Most of the time we take the kids but I will have to plan a date night and check this out.
I live pretty close to Miami, so I’m always excited to see movies that are shot down here. I saw the first one and it was really funny! I’ll definitely being seeing this with my boyfriend. I like comedies for date nights!
