USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards highlighted 10 best urban kayaking spots in the United States; They quoted, “You don’t have to leave the city to paddle in these places”.

After a four-week public competition among 20 total nominees, the Roanoke River in Virginia’s Blue Ridge took home third place in the 2023 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award for “Best Urban Kayaking Spot.”
