Do you practice good self-care? In times like we are living today I think we all need to up our self-care lifestyle.

Times are super stressful and chaotic but we have to bring ourselves down to earth. I have been doing so many things to keep myself sane and make sure I give myself self-care on the daily. I think people assume when you give yourself attention and practice a lot of self-care its a selfish act. I am here to tell you SELF-CARE ISNT SELFISH. You shouldn’t feel guilty for taking care of yourself and slowing down. So in honor of this enery, I would like to share 5 ways to improve your self-care routine.

5 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR SELF-CARE ROUTINE

SELF-CARE TIP #1 CREATE

So in this world of social distancing I have been creating more and more. I even expanded the Kiwi The Beauty brand to my own online store KIWI BEAUTY where I make statement earrings and pins. I love self-care so much I made statement earrings that boldly say “Self-Care Isnt Selfish”. I personally create these and other sayings and designs on my site here.

SELF-CARE TIP #2 SLEEP

I beg of you please get some sleep. A lot of stress and anxiety can be stirred up inside of you with lack of sleep. Please get your 8-10 hours of sleep and take a nap. That’s right you should take more naps when you can. Do not let anyone make you feel guilty for being tired, take the time to relax and sleep. Put your phone on Do Not Disturb or Silent and get the rest you need.

SELF-CARE TIP #3 COMMUNICATE MORE

I know many of us are social distancing or even long distance but now more than ever keep in touch with your friends and family more. Text, call and even Facetime/Zoom. You would be surprised how keeping a connection and communicating with people can do to your energy. Self-care is sharing a laugh or a moment and even having Stream Dates with people.

I host a #homebodybrunch with my friends every Sunday, so it a cute way to have brunch with my girlfriends from the comfort of my home. I block off time just to connect with them and see how we are all doing.

SELF-CARE TIP #4 ENJOY YOUR OWN COMPANY

Now although I said we should connect more, its also the time to enjoy your own company. Spend some me-time alone. Take yourself on a date, go to the park and walk, mediate in silence, or just do anything you would do with people by yourself. I thin sometimes we forget we can be our own best company.

SELF-CARE TIP #5 PMS RELIEF

Now this tip is strictly for the ladies. I feel like the best self-care is when you can manage your pms and menstrual symptoms. I really feel like around that time of the month I am extra sensitive and I need self-care the most. I am cranky, sensitive and in pain sometimes. I have found some amazing products that help relieve my stress and enhance my self-care needs when its that time of the month.

  • Trojan Vibrations Vibrating Fingertip Personal Massager

This unique vibrator attaches to your finger, giving you enhanced stimulation. The TROJAN Ultra Touch Intense Personal Massager puts big thrills at your fingertips. Because it’s worn directly on your finger, it has all the flexibility and rhythm of your finger — enhanced, of course, by a vibrator.

Fun Fact: Self-love is an important part of self-care. Since the start of social distancing, 29% of women are masturbating more and compared to men (6%), women are much more likely (15%) to be using more toys or vibrators when masturbating during this time.

  • Pamprin Menstrual Pain Relief

There’s no need to grin and bear it. Pamprin Max Pain + Energy was made specifically for your most painful days & formulated to relieve the discomfort of cramps, headaches & backaches – and provide you with the energy you need, for maximum strength results.

  • BOTA Skincare (Plant Based CBD Skincare)

BOTA Age-Defying Hand Lotion: plant-based ingredients, a non-greasy formula that absorbs quickly, and hemp extract. This hand lotion contains natural emollients and essential fatty acids that soothe and hydrates dry skin. All products contain less than 0.3% THC.

BOTA MUSCLE MELT CRÈME: Our ancestors have used cinnamon oil as a natural warming mechanism for centuries. So, the next time you have a draining day or complete a tough workout, melt away with BOTATM Warming Muscle Melt Crème. This crème combines warming cinnamon oil, shea butter, and hemp extract to help you unwind. All products contain less than 0.3% THC.

What are some of your go-to self-care routines?
