I love fun drinks. I love drink that have unique ingredients that spark up creative concoction and I got an opportunity to try the new Captain Morgan LocoNut coconut liqueur! The Loconut Liqueur comes in the cutest coconut designed packaging that will definitely stand out in your drink station. Ever heard of the phrase “grab life by the horns“? What about the unicorn horns? With this drink, I was introduced to creating the #LocoNut Unicorn cocktail!
We all heard about the buzz of the Unicorn Frapp that went crazy and viral. But that wasn’t all, it seems like unicorn themes are everywhere. I have seen unicorn bagels, unicorn waffles, unicorn cakes, unicorn grilled cheese…unicorns are taking over! It’s definitely not a kiddie filled fantasy, its popping up everywhere for kids and adults alike are enjoying the fun multi-colored trend!
LOCONUT Unicorn Drink
Ingredients
60z coconut water
2oz Captain Morgan LocoNut
0.25oz Grenadine
0.25oz Geuine Curacao Liqueur
Directions
Wet the rim of a 13oz highball glass with water and dip the glass in edible glitter to form a rim. Fill the glass with ice, and then add the coconut water and Captain Morgan LocoNut. Stir with straw or spoon. Drizzle the Grenadine over the cocktail first so it sits at the bottom, and then drizzle the Curacao second, so it sits on top.
And boom…your own Unicorn Cocktail. An adult way to keep your unicorn dreams alive. This summer inspired drink drink blends Caribbean rum and spices with seasonal flavors including real coconut liqueur. Since the weather is nice this will be a fun and colorful drink for the season. Add all type of fun unicorn adornments to the drinks too such as a lollipop, umbrella pick, crazy straw and fun drink stirrers.
I think the new Captain Morgan Loconut cocktail is going to be an amazing drink for the summer. Other fun drink ideas you could make with the Loconut liqueur are Keylime Pie Cocktails, Miami Vice and of course the famous Pina Coladas! This will give the tropical getaway feeling even if you haven’t went on your summer vacay yet. Have an adult unicorn themed party (I think I might take my own advice). This drink is for the big kids at heart who loves to add color where ever they go, even in their drinks! This is a unicorn approved so drink out your mystical fantasy, even if people think you are a little loco (thats the point).

I just tried this 2 weeks ago at the Margarita Festival in Tennessee. It was ok but I think it would have tasted better really cold.. it was hot as hell and they were serving it room temperature
