Tiana can put a pause on singing “Almost There” because the wait is over! Tiana’s Palace has officially opened its doors in Disneyland!

Tiana’s Palace made its grand debut on September 7, 2023, at Disneyland, offering guests an immersive experience filled with authentic New Orleans cuisine and captivating decor that embodies Tiana’s unique style.

While Tiana’s name graces the restaurant, it’s important to note that Tiana herself will not be hosting character dining or meeting guests at the establishment. However, there’s still a chance to catch a glimpse of Tiana as she may be spotted in New Orleans Square, adding an extra touch of magic to the experience.

Tiana’s Palace Decor

The interior of the restaurant, inspired by the French Market, already boasted New Orleans-inspired details that were faithfully recreated from the movie. These included intricate wrought ironwork and a charming blue skylight. Building upon these elements, Imagineers incorporated Tiana’s signature yellow and green color palette, as well as personal touches like cookbooks and cooking utensils reminiscent of those Tiana would use to create her famous beignets.

Additionally, asthe patio has been expanded, many tables in this area, as well as on the side, are accompanied by umbrellas to offer extra shade. So whether you prefer the charm of the shade banners or the convenience of the umbrellas, there are plenty of options available to ensure your utmost comfort while enjoying your meal at Tiana’s Palace.

To further enhance the ambiance, the restaurant features a delightful score of authentic jazz pieces from the time period, enveloping guests in the vibrant sounds of New Orleans.

Tiana’s Palace Menu

As for the menu, it draws inspiration from the rich culinary heritage of New Orleans. The Disney culinary team collaborated with the renowned Chase Family, known for their iconic Dookie Chase restaurant, to ensure the flavors were truly authentic.

Ingredients are sourced directly from New Orleans or Louisiana, including Gulf of Mexico shrimp, Louisiana cane syrup, Andouille sausage, golden rice, and bread from New Orleans. Additionally, the restaurant proudly showcases the beloved Tabasco and Crystal hot sauces from the New Orleans region, adding a flavorful kick to the dishes.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

In addition to the exciting new restaurant, guests can look forward to immersing themselves further in Princess Tiana’s enchanting story with the upcoming ride, “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.” This captivating attraction is set to open in late 2024 at both Disneyland and Disney World in Florida.

To make way for this new experience, Splash Mountain will undergo a transformation. This decision comes as a response to the controversy surrounding the 1946 animated feature “Song of the South,” which currently serves as the theme for the ride. The transformation aims to provide a fresh and inclusive experience, allowing guests to embark on an exciting adventure through the bayou alongside Princess Tiana.

The Tiana’s Palace restaurant opening marks the next step in bringing more of Princess Tiana’s stories to life in New Orleans Square, which began with Eudora’s Chic Boutique featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets in 2022 and will continue with the opening of the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction in 2024 (also opening at Walt Disney World Resort in 2024).
