Get ready to dive under the sea! The world premiere of Disney’s live-action reimagining of “The Little Mermaid”that made a splash at Hollywood’s Dolby Theater.

The highly anticipated live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid” is just around the corner, and the star of the film, Halle Bailey, brought the magic to the “blue” carpet for the world premiere. With her stunning, iridescent mermaid-inspired gown designed by Valdrin Sahiti, paired with her signature red velvet luscious locs, she embodied the role of Ariel in real life.

As she made her way down the carpet, fans could hardly contain their excitement to join her in her world under the sea. The premiere was just the beginning of what is sure to be an epic journey for Halle and the entire cast.

Cast, filmmakers, and celebrity guests celebrated the upcoming launch of this Oscar-winning animated classic. Directed by the visionary Rob Marshall, “The Little Mermaid” will exclusively hit theaters nationwide on May 26, 2023.

FEATURETTE

“The Little Mermaid” is the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea and, while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden from interacting with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.
