BEYOND THE GATE : ATL SKYPOINTE RETAIL & DINING PROGRAM AT HARTSFIELD JACKSON AIRPORT Sunday 07 October, 2018
I love my job where I am grateful to travel often that turns my work into play many times. I live in Atlanta, so I travel out of often in the busiest airport in the world which is Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson Airport. If you ever had the opportunity to visit and fly out of Atlanta airport yourself, you would know first hand how busy but amazing it can be.
A recent trip I taken my second time at the airport within 3 days of each other. I clearly live at the airport now
I always brag about how spoiled I am to live in Atlanta because there are so many option to just eat alone if you are at the airport and hungry. When I go to other airports, sometimes I am disappointed because I forget not everyone has a variety of options to eat like my city. But this airport definitely has more to offer more than food, and sometimes I get shocked learning about all the cool things in ATL Hartsfield Jackson airport that I didnt know existed.
Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson airport is like a travel playground if you ever have extra time to explore and wander around. Did you know ATL airport hit a record $1bn concession sales in 2016? I am learning more and more as the airport keeps expanding and I wanted to share with you all about the ATL Skypointe concession program that really gives travelers the opportunity to know exactly all of the wonderful dining, shopping and other retail services this amazing airport has to offer.
As you can see ATL airport has an array of franchised markets and local commodities at this massive travel hub. You can shop & dine in luxury or on a budget wit h a variety of options. With more than 300 commercial venues, ATL Skypointe offers something for everyone. I love how it has a mix of familar stores but also local/statewide hightlights inside this airport too. Many of the retail stores I listed I genuinely didn’t even know was here at Hartsfield Jackson! ATL Skypointe is amazing with all of its retail and shopping concession it makes you wonder if you stepped into an airport or the mall?

Girl the Atlanta airport is like a massive shopping mall. I have had the pleasure of taking the tram from one side to the other. I love the food and store options especially when I have a layover.

This is pure genius! I can’t count the times I’ve had a layover and thought I was going to die of boredom while I at my bag of chips. all airports should start doing this.

When I’m at the airport, I usually find a restaurant to eat and have a drink. I also read a lot. And I flown out of and into ATL, definitely a large airport.
I have never been there but that airport looks really neat and beautiful. My favorite things to do from the airport is watching people and talking and make friends with other people.

Wow, good to know about everything that’s in the ATL airport! I haven’t been in a minute, but I’ll probably be flying there next August for my cousin’s wedding, and I’ll have to check it out then. That’s a really cute shirt!
My favorite things to do at the airport are hit up an airport lounge (usually Delta Skyclub) and people watch! I love having layovers in ATL because there’s so much to do.
I like taking a tour out of the airport if possible. Otherwise, I like to find a nice comfy chair near an outlet where I can charge my electronics, watch a little TV on my laptop and enjoy a drink and or snack.
This is good to know. At least there are airports like that that are very attuned to the needs of travelers. Hopefully one day I can fly in or flyout from Altanta Hartsfield Johnson airport.
I have never been in that airport but seeing those photos of yours the place looks really beautiful and you will not definitely get bored once you are there because of their many amenities.

I like to people watch. I only go to the airport to pick up and drop off family and friends. People watching is so interesting at the airport.

I had a layover there last year and it was the biggest airport I had ever been in. I literally had to sprint to make my connection.

I haven’t traveled to ATL yet but I want to! When I do I’ll make sure to leave time to explore the airport.
I do travel a lot as well and my local airports are Gatwick in the UK and Malaga in Spain. I have an airport tshirt as well 🙂
