I don’t know about you all, but I love biopics. It seems like more and more biopics are being made and many of them go straight to television! Lifetme has created the ultimate club called the Lifetime Movie Club.

I personally loved watching the Toni Braxton story and it was a great musical story that made me fall in love with 90s R&B music all over again.
Whitney
Starring Yaya DaCosta and Arlen Escarpeta, with vocals by Deborah Cox. Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s relationship is threatened as the overwhelming rewards and consequences of fame begin to overshadow them both. A lot of this particular biopic is based around the love story of Bobby and Whitney’s early career, so it showed her rising to fame while they fell in love. Watching this made me miss Whitney even more R.I.P. to the Queen of Pop/R&B!
Gabby Douglas
Starring Regina King and Gabby Douglas. A gymnastics phenomenon beats overwhelming odds to become the first African American Olympic champion of the individual all-around competition. Based on a true story (and she plays herself). I haven’t seen this yet, but hey a movie lineup for the Lifetime Movie Club.

I love Lifetime! That was me and Mom’s favorite thing to do, especially on Sundays. I had no idea that they had a movie club! I’m sure there are tons of biopics that I would love to see.
Man I can’t remember the last time I sat down and watched a lifetime movie. I used to be HOOKED all day. lol I hear the Fantasia story is a good one. Definitely will share this one. I know a lot of my friends would be interested.
I remember spending my Sunday’s watching Lifetime. Although some of their movies were corny, I enjoyed them even the biopics. This is great news

I remember seeing Michael Jackson is a biopic! I absolutely loved it!
