Event Recap | Macy’s Celebrates 158th Birthday with Marc Forgione in Atlanta Friday 21 October, 2016
This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency on behalf of Macy’s; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
Did you know Macy’s is 158 years old this month? I didn’t know as I walked into this event and great with a birthday hat! Former Top Chef contestant and winner Marc Forgione hosted this special cooking demo in honor of Macy’s birthday!
This is my second year experiencing Marc Forgione cooking demo at Macy’s. Two years ago he came and did a holiday cooking presentation but this theme was all about how to celebrate birthdays in honor of Macy’s 158th birthday! He would cook the food live with a camera crew, as if we are on a Cooking show and then he would pass around the dishes for us to try. Below are the cooking demo food we sampled.
After the cooking demo Chef Marc signed his books for guests and did photo ops!
Please check out Sage on Instagram. She is the daughter of foodie blogger Shana of ShanaWasHere.com and taking after her mom a lot! She takes her own photos, love to Instagram and take foodie shots on her account. She told me personally she wants to be a chef when she grows up so this was very exciting for her to get her own autographed cook book by Chef Marc Forgione! Sage on Instagram @sageloves2eat
Great times with Chef Marc Forgione and this was my second time experiencing his cooking demo dishes. He announced that his chain restaurant American Cut in Atlanta is opening for business located in the Shops in Buckhead. in Atlanta now. Hopefully I can do a foodie review in the future.
If you like the dishes you seen from the demo please check out his book and purchase it at a Macy’s near you!
