SPANX STAR POWER EVENT

Star Power by Spanx, a new collection of inspired designs by the popular body shaper brand, had a mega event Macy’s Lenox Square in Atlanta,GA. Spanx new star-studded lineup introduced garments of hosiery, shapers, apparel, bras and loungewear.

The Spanx brand now houses more than 200 products ranging from slimming apparel and swimsuits, to bras, activewear and men’s undershirts. Attendees enjoyed the festivities by get Insta-glammed by The Star Power Style team, participate in Shaping Spree giveaways and snag Star Power Swag Bags while getting a first look at the star-studded collection.

“Spanx made shaping famous by improving celebrity rear views on the red carpet,” said Spanx Founder Sara Blakely.

“Now with Star Power, every woman can look and feel like a star!”

To introduce the new “Star Power” line, the event showcased a fun-filled event where hundreds of Atlanta consumers enjoyed a colorful fashion show, treats, giveaways and appearance by Miss Spanx herself, Sara Blakely.

Not sure if you know the backstory of Spanx, but founder Sara Blakely was once getting ready for a party when she realized she didn’t have the right undergarment to provide a blemish-free look under white pants. Armed with scissors and sheer genius, she cut the feet off her control top pantyhose and the rest was history.

The Spanx company and brand are now valued at more than $1 billion owned 100% by Blakely. Now that’s Star Power indeed!

I will admit I have never worn Spanx in my life. I am very excited to try my new products because yes, even a slim woman like myself needs a little tummy smoothing out ever now and then. I had a great time at this event and stay tuned for my product review of the merchandise.Spanx new Star Power collection garments range from $22 to $138 and will be available at Spanx.com, Macys.comand in select Macy’s department stores that debuted nationwide in August.
