{Event Recap} StyleSeat Atlanta Takeover with New Beauty App! Monday 24 November, 2014
I was invited to a 3-day Atlanta beauty takeover affair with this amazing new app called Style Seat. Let me tell you, StyleSeat is pretty awesome again – three entire days to kick-off their successful beauty app and mingle with the consumers who use them. How often do you hear of mobile apps hosting parties for a more interactive experience? Atlanta was their first stop of their beauty app major city kick-off celebration and the first event I attended was the Social Media Day at Loop Salon. So what is StyleSeat? StyleSeat is a free beauty-booking mobile app connecting industry experts with clients.
StyleSeat really knows how to treat people. At Loop Salon they had it set up extra posh with a Mimosa Bar, Hor Dourves, Gifts and Special Beauty Complimentary services to get your make-up done, hair, and nail done for all the social media influencers invited. Style Seat actually contacted me in advance to schedule which service I would like to use, and I was able to get my nails done. It was a sweet and very intimate event, it wasn’t crowded or a line so mostly everyone attended felt like they were getting one-on-one exclusive treatment. They treated me like a celebrity! At the event the people giving the complimentary services are actual professionals in the beauty industry that use Style Seat for their clients to book their services in the Atlanta area I also got to chat with the awesome Founder/CEO of StyleSeat, Melody McCloskey, which was extra special because I got to know her a bit better about her wonderful app.
BEAUTY INFLUENCER DINNER

So this is Melody McCloskey, founder/CEO of the StyleSeat app. Let me tell you about this young, vibrant and intelligent woman. She created an app and really is moving and shaking not only the beauty industry but the tech industry as well. It’s not often you hear of female tech CEOs in the male dominated field of emerging technology and creating apps – but you are looking at her! She resides in the home of the start-up city, Silicon Valley in San Francisco and decided to create an app that resolves the issue for people finding a beauty professional in their area. Most of the time people rely on word-of-mouth for certain services or good old Google, but what if there was an app that gave you a plethora of options, reviews and photos of several professionals that fit your beauty needs without having to ask around or dig for the information? Melody created that solution with StyleSeat and is looking to expand and continue to transform the beauty industry. I will be interviewing Melody in the near future for more detailed information on how she started and her future goals, but I have to admit she is pretty fierce!
She invited me out for the second Atlanta exclusive event for an upscale 5 course beauty industry dinner. It was another opportunity for Melody and her team to get to know the people in the Atlanta area who are making big moves in the beauty industry and treat them to a great meal. StyleSeat is pretty generous and not only fed us, but gave us a gifts from San Francisco! I love their cute attention to detail and so honored they invited me to this private dinner.
STYLE SEAT ATL PARTY
StyleSeat had one last event and that the nightclub party they hosted that was open to the public because they wanted to go out with a BANG! StyleSeat already catered to the social influencers, industry professionals, the beauty movers and shakers but now this party was to introduce to new/upcoming app users the benefits of the app and a great party! At the party they had the works, food, drinks, photobooth, more goodie bags but they even had beauty services at the party. Yes they had henna + nail application services at the club! Now thats a party. This was so much fun and it just showcased the spirit of the app and the people who help run it. Everyone involved with StyleSeat are fun down-to-earth people who want to not only get people to use the app, but be interactive with the consumers and make us happy! StyleSeat definitely knows how to have a party as over 300+ people came out to the celebration! More photos below.

A service I haven’t had in a while? ALL of them lol I manage to keep my nails beautifully done with Jamberry though (giveaway going on right now on the blog, if you stop by) so thank God for that! lol
I want to make sure that I get a nice haircut and style soon though, for sure. My locks are looking a bit lackluster.
