TRAILER
SYNOPSIS
On Valentine’s Day, Issa Rae (HBO’s Insecure, Little) and LaKeith Stanfield (FX’s Atlanta, Sorry to Bother You) connect in a romance where a woman must learn from the secrets in her mother’s past if she is to move forward and allow herself to love and be loved.
When famed photographer Christina Eames unexpectedly dies, she leaves her estranged daughter Mae Morton (Rae) hurt, angry and full of questions. When a photograph tucked away in a safe-deposit box is found, Mae finds herself on a journey delving into her mother’s early life and ignites a powerful, unexpected romance with a rising-star journalist, Michael Block (Stanfield).
From writer-director Stella Meghie (The Weekend, Jean of the Joneses) from her original screenplay comes a sweeping love story about forgiveness and finding the courage to seek the truth, no matter where it may lead you.
The Photograph is produced by Will Packer, blockbuster producer of Girls Trip, the Ride Along franchise, and ten movies that have opened No. 1 at the U.S. box office, including Night School, No Good Deed and Think Like a Man, and by James Lopez, president of Will Packer Productions. The film is executive produced by Meghie, Erika Hampson (co-producer Late Night, Life Itself) and Rae.
Now with these “photographs” alone I can see it is going to get intimate! I think Issa Rae & Lakeith Standfield is a cute and interesting match. Its already giving me 90s Love Jones vibes. I am here for it and all of the melanted love for the love holiday!

So my favorite Valentine’s has always been hanging with my son. We go do random stuff like dinner, shopping or even a movie. Sometimes we just sit at home and have family movie night! ❤️
My favorite Valentines Day memory is when I was in my adolescent years every year on Valentines Day I would go to the Daddy -Daughter Dance. It was a tradition and I looked forward to it every year. Dressing up in a new dress and having a great time with my dad. It will always be a memory I will never forget !

My favorite memory was handing out the valentines in school hoping my crush would write me a special note and I would always write one back!! ❤️❤️ I miss those days!!
I’ve been waiting on this one about ass long as insecure lol. I can’t wait to go see this black Love on the big screen.
I can’t wait to see this movie. My favorite Valentine’s Days have been spent with my parents. They have been married over 40 years, and it’s just beautiful to see them celebrate their love on Valentine’s Day and every other day.
My most fond Valentine’s memory is of when my parents were together. My dad was always so thoughtful and sweet and would always hide the card a balloons in a different spot every year for my mom to find.
My favorite Valentine’s Day memory was when my boyfriend sang to Boyz II Men, “In the Still of the Night” on the Yard during my sophomore year of college! he had all his friend sing with him and he gave me flowers.
Black Love of Valentines Day!
This movie looks like it will be perfect for Valentine’s Day! I won’t like I am a sucker for Romantic comedies.
I don’t really have a favorite Valentine’s Day memory. The best gift would be cruise tickets, though.
My favorite Valentine’s memory is Pappadeaux brunch with my mom and sis every year. Time to bond and show love.
My best Valentine’s Day was leaving an Allstar NBA game and heading to Mardi Gras! It wasn’t lovey dovey but I had lots of fun!
I can’t wait to see this! I love, love—especially black love. ❤️
Getting this girl a big ass balloon and chocolates in the seventh grade and her crying because she was so happy
A favorite V-Day memory would be spending it with someone special & creating more memories, along with flowers & lots of quality time.
Looks like a good movie! I am just a few days away from returning to ATL on the 14th so sadly I will miss a chance to win on the 12th. Thanks for the chance! Xoxo Leslie @SobeSavvy.com, @SobeSavvy
I never really celebrated Valentines day before so I don’t have many memories. However, I don’t despise it. It’s just not my thing. Definitely want to see this movie though.
