The wait is over as ESSENCE announces its exhilarating initial talent line-up for the 2018 ESSENCE Festival, taking place July 5-8 in New Orleans. The nightly concert series keeps the spotlight on women, featuring electrifying headline performances from Janet Jackson;Mary J. Blige; a headline set featuring Erykah Badu and Jill Scott, with special guests Snoop Dogg and many others in a special curation by The Roots; Xscape; Fantasia and Miguel. 2017 Blockbuster Summer Movie, GIRLS TRIP, put this epic festival on the map so you definitely want to make sure you are there this year. Really great line-up. I’ve never been to Essence Fest but, it would be worth it to see Janet. I’ve seen Erykah a few times. She gives a great show. Love the Roots of course. I’ve seen them too many times to count. Snoop gives a great show. This is the first year I’d definitely consider going.
