Episodes 1-6 are definitely entertaining, featuring the classic pod bonding moments and all the excitement about who will end up matched and engaged. This season is all about breaking stereotypes, showcasing more mature couples, plenty of opposites-attract pairings, and a diverse group of singles getting engaged. There’s even one person who proudly embraces their 5% Black heritage—does that put them in the melanated category?

Of course, there are love triangles and some classic messy situations, but one couple will really surprise you. Without giving too much away, let’s just say their story takes a twist during the pod reveal. When they finally meet in person, you can instantly tell one of them is having serious second thoughts. Instead of heading to Mexico with the other engaged couples, they get their own mini-vacation in Miami. And just before the episode wraps up, we find out through a caption that they’ve called off their engagement after trying to figure things out on their own. Spoiler alert: it just wasn’t meant to be—something we could kinda sense back in the pods!
