Come on Vamanos to the theaters to see Dora and the Lost City of Gold. Dora The Explore was a cute toddler who grew up, is going to high school now and she is still going on adventures! I was excited to take my seven-year-old God daughter Channing to see the live-action version of Dora! Dora is back along with Diego, Boot, and more new friends!
SYNOPSIS
Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora (Isabela Moner) for her most dangerous adventure ever – High School. Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego (Jeff Wahlberg), a mysterious jungle inhabitant (Eugenio Derbez), and a rag tag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents (Eva Longoria, Michael Peña) and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost city of gold.
STARRING
Isabela Moner, Eugenio Derbez, Michael Peña, Eva Longoria, Adriana Barraza, Temuera Morrison, Jeff Wahlberg, Nicholas Coombe, Madeleine Madden, and Danny Trejo
My Review:
I thought this live action dora was A-Dora-ble! It was sweet to see Dora grow up a little from a preschool child to a well-rounded & smart teen! I love that Dora kept her childhood spirit throughout the entire movie. Sometimes when children go from kids to teen, the teen wants to do everything to stop being a kid even though they still are! Dora is more adventureous than ever and the exploring is next level. She is so smart, knowledgable about so many thing and have strong survival skills. Dora showcases that being smart is SMART for survival!
My seven year old goddaughter loved Dora when she was an infant and toddler! Animated Dora touched a lot of kids hearts and seeing her live-action is really fun for the kids to reminiscence too! Channing of course loved Dora, but I think teens and even adults/parents will like it too if you grew up on Dora. I highly recommend you take your kids 3-16 to see Dora or any parents who loved to go exploring with Dora with their kids!
This seems like a great movie to see. I have never seen it but would like to based on your review and images! Plus I really enjoy this genre.

This sounds like a fun movie. I love that she’s in HS and kids that loved Dora as a toddler can follow her as a teenager. Looks like a fun time was had by all.
It is funny to see Dora as an older girl! We watched Dora for so many years, it would be fun to see the movie.
My kid is 25 and we never did Dora but I am totally going to see this movie. It kinda reminds me of the Spy Kids movies and I always enjoy those
I’ve seen the previews and this movie looks really cute! And really cute to see her as a high schooler as well.
Aw, I had a chance to sit in on an interview for this movie but missed it. Looks like the kiddos enjoyed it.
This is on the bucket list to watch this weekend. I have been reading a lot of good reviews about it.
Who doesn’t love Dora the Explorer! So amazing to see this cartoon character come to life in such a fun way.
LittleCuteLips missed the Dora bus. Dora was popular when my son was little so she never got into it. I totally remember singing the songs and all of that with my son. Its cute that she is all grown up now.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold seems like an awesome picture. Dora is a great character but I always thought she was a little girl. Here she looks more like a teenager.

My son was a big Dora fan. I bet he’d love to see the movie. And of course she would grow up to be an awesome teen, she was always so smart and fun. 🙂
