{Movie Review} Rio 2 featuring Janelle Monae Friday 11 April, 2014

Another movie review and this time it was an interactive Red Carpet for the biggest of kids for the movie Rio 2. Although I do not have children myself I enjoyed this festive movie screening celebration of eclectic singer, Janelle Monae’s animation debut of her song. Janelle Monae’s song “What is Love” from Atlantic Record’s RIO 2 soundtrack, is also the opening track for the entire movie, which really set the Caribbean mood with her vocals.

She is too adorable and in Monae “andriod” fashion she wears all black rocking Alejandra G multidimensonal Black & White stilettos. Too hawt!
Celebs and local guests who also stopped by the carpet included Carlos Saldanha (director), Ludacris (actor/artist), Curtis Fields (musician), Todd Chrisley (“Chrisley Knows Best”), Matt Bryant (Atlanta Falcons), Meyrick Murphy (“Walking Dead”), Towanda Braxton (Reality TV Star), Chauncey Davis (former Atlanta Falcon),and Sanjay Gupta (CNN Reporter).
20th Century Fox hosted a special red carpet presentation of RIO 2 while bringing a taste of Brazil to Atlanta with Carnival dancers and band to celebrate Monae and the movie! Check the below footage for the snippet of the fun!

Movie Synopsis: It’s a jungle out there for Blu, Jewel and their three kids after they’re hurtled Rio de Janeiro to the wilds of the Amazon. As Blu tries to fit in, he goes beak-to-beak with the vengeful Nigel, and meets the most fearsome adversary of all: his father-in-law.
