Recap: Global Runway Fashion Presentation at Skypointe in Atlanta Hartfield International Airport Friday 18 May, 2018
I want to showcase you all today something special about the world of fashion in collaboration with traveling. Traveling is high on the horizons lately, but do you ever think about how the airport and fashion goes hand and hand? New York is the fashion capital of America, but can we give Atlanta Airport the fashion airport capital of the world? Well I live in Atlanta, home to the busiest airport in the world with Atlanta Hartfield International Airport where there wan an amazing fashion presentation by Global Runway. This was the first time I went to my hometown airport and I did not show up to get on a flight of some sort but it was amazing to see how Hartfield have lots of fashion and beauty options before departing or after landing in Atlanta!
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) presented Global Runway 2018, a fashion presentation and retail pop-up experience on Wednesday, May 16. Hosted by InStyle Magazine’s Editor Kahlana Barfield, over 250 guests experienced a few of the retail offerings that represent ATL Skypointe, a program designed for guests to shop, dine and explore ATL. This year, guests also experienced an expanded industry-driven fashion experience, which included a silent auction to benefit Bert’s Big Adventure. Kennedy Morgan, founder of Love to the Moon and Bert’s Big Adventure special guest also experienced a full day of fashion which included hair, makeup, and styling by Global Runway’s glam team. Kennedy also showcased her modeling skills in this year’s fashion presentation.
In its second year, Global Runway featured four U.S. retail brands: Spanx, ExOfficio, Brooks Brothers and Sean John, which is celebrating their 20th anniversary.

Also bridging the gap between beauty and style, the event highlighted national brands MAC Cosmetics, Michael Kors, Bijoux Terner and XpresSpa via a pop-up shop.
I loved this presentation. I travel through Atlanta Hartsfield Airport all the time, and maybe I should consider more fashion and beauty purchases arrive or departing from my stops in the airport. Atlanta Hartfield is huge, and no I haven’t explored all there is there (its massive), but this presentation showed me that the airport has more fashionable pieces than I thought! There is always this debate on what kind of airport dresser are you, casual or dressy.
I am definitely team casual (I cant wait to wear my ‘This is My Airport Tee’ tshirt) but for the people who want to get dress before their flight or after they land in Atlanta, there are a plethora of options. Global Runway was just a glimmer of what the airport has in store, literally — but its always great to know you can get fly while you fly at Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.

Atlanta adds so much to the fashion world, in my opinion thanks to hip hop and rap artists. The airport is the perfect setting to celebrate this as a connection with the world.
I am always fascinated by fashion shows. I enjoyed the recap of the global runway and pop up experience. It looks like it was a great time for you to be able to experience.
There are so many style inspirations in this post. I like most of the styles from Exofficio. This was a really cool event and to have it at an airport is awesome!

What a cool event to be held at an airport. When I flew to Atlanta 6 years ago, they had a really awesome art display to admire while we walked through the airport.
I love that there were a lot of men’s fashions in the event because i usaually only see women in shows. These fashions look great for me and my husband.
That is very beautiful and lovely fashion and styles at the Global runway fashion festival at the Atlanta. All the models are gorgeous and their style could be easily adaptable by anyone.
What a fun thing to do. I love pop up experiences of any kind. Be it fashion or food. The brevity of the location makes them so special. Love the looks, especially the Spanx outfit on that beautiful black model. She’s gorgeous!
