The heart of Atlanta’s Westside Park resonated with soulful rhythms and lively vibes during the 2024 RnB Soul Picnic held over Mother’s Day weekend on May 11th and 12th. This year’s festival, dedicated to R&B music, talented DJs, and a meaningful stance on mental health awareness, attracted over 10,000 music enthusiasts who immersed themselves in the soulful melodies and impactful messages.
Featuring special hosts Porsha Williams (Saturday) and CeeLo Green, who also collaborated with his tour DJ, the RnB Soul Picnic delivered an unforgettable experience. Renowned DJs like Bryan-Michael Cox, Kid Capri, DJ Trauma, and DJ Envy, among others, curated sets that traversed through the diverse eras of R&B, offering attendees a rich musical journey.
The DJ lineup for the weekend included Envy, Bryan-Michael Cox, Tephlon, Traci Steele, Mars, SNS, Stormy Monroe, DJ Nasty 305, Tron, Bowtie DJ, Queen of Spades, DSA, Kid Capri, Princess Cut, Trauma, Reese, PNut, Yung Fro, and J Smoov.
Going beyond the music, the event also focused on mental health advocacy, teaming up with Shanti Das’s “Silence the Shame” and Dr. Marcus Green of New Beginnings Today to raise awareness and promote open dialogues about mental health challenges.
A standout moment of the weekend was the generous contribution of $5000 from York Promotions to Silence the Shame, bolstering ongoing efforts to advance mental health initiatives and support those in need.
