The COVID pandemic is effecting the way we eat out in America. Many restaurants around the nation are staying open and providing alternative methods besides dining-in to see have some of your favorite meals while we are all social distancing. I live in Georgia, and the city of Visit Sandy Springs is dedicated to supporting their restaurant and hospitality industry by including take out, curbside pickup, delivery and more during these times. There is now an initiative to support local restaurants called TAKE HOME FRIDAYS to encourage more locals to order takeout and support local. Sandy Spring has provided an extensive list of their restaurants who are ready to serve everyone in the metro-Atlanta area.

NAM Kitchen
Takeout available
Tucked away in a quiet corner of the new and trendy City Springs Center, Nam Kitchen ATL is a beautiful 3200 sq restaurant that brings authentic, yet elegant, Vietnamese dishes to those of Sandy Springs. Nam also serves as an ideal location for pre-performance dining, a special night, or to impress guests and clients, our contemporary Vietnamese cuisine and atmosphere is truly the pinnacle of luxurious dining within the Sandy Springs area.
The Select

Located in Market Square at City Springs, The Select offers Contemporary Continental Cuisine with a French influence that focuses on fresh, local ingredients. The Select pays homage to Paris’ famed Le Select brasserie — the notable all-day gathering spot for artists and literary giants including Picasso, Hemingway and Fitzgerald. Drawing inspiration from the Parisian restaurant, The Select serves as a definitive neighborhood destination, inviting guests to share honest food, standout spirits and friendly conversation in a welcoming and relaxed setting. Flower Child

Flower Child is on a simple, soul-satisfying mission to spread positively delicious vibes and healthy food in Sandy Springs. Every last bite on the Flower Child menu is made from scratch, using farm-fresh ingredients from close to home. CalyRoad Creamery

CalyRoad Creamery, one of Georgia’s first micro-creameries for artisan cheese, was established in May of 2009 by two sisters, Cathy and Robin. The two women developed a passion for making cheese after visiting several cheese makers in the neighboring states of North Carolina and Alabama. On the following slides, you will find photographs of an assortment of CalyRoad cheeses and one of the owners, Robin Schick.
Da Vinci’s Donuts

Da Vinci’s Donuts is a unique and creative take on donuts and the typical donut cafe. Cibo e Beve

Cibo e Beve is the creation of chefs Gianni Betti and Linda Harrell. Working together at a Tuscan restaurant in Baltimore in 1993, they discovered they shared the same dream, which was to create an Italian kitchen specializing in authentic Italian cuisine featuring unique family recipes and traditional ingredients from Italy.

This labor of love started when Susansnaps, co-owner owner Laura Stachler watched her husband and daughter (Susan) undergo chemo within the same year. Because ginger is a natural stomach soother, Laura created the ultimate gingersnaps recipe to help her family members and named the delectable Southern treat Susansnaps. il Giallo Osteria & Bar

il Giallo (pronounced il-JAH-lo) is a partnership between Chef Jamie Adams and Leonardo Moura. Their goal is to transport you to a little piece of Italy. The art of pasta making is on full display at il Giallo, where Chef Jamie and his culinary team produce fresh pasta for all to see on a large wooden table in front of the kitchen. The pastas are made from scratch during each service, including Chef Jamie’s Agnolotti with brown butter, sage and pecans, as seen on the Food Network’s “The Best Thing I Ever Ate.” On the following slide, you will see photos of this famous Agnolotti, along with their signature spaghetti.

Well, for now, there hasn’t been much of a change since I assist out my food caterer with transporting the food she has prepared to sell. In turn, I get to eat a free meal….and Mummy, as well.
This is an excellent resource for anyone in the area. I’ve been ordering a lot of takeout from my favorite restaurants because I know that’s all the business they’re going to have for a while.
This was a great post and definitely handy. I’m UK based, so I won’t find any of these – haha. But I’ll definitely be having a look out for some restaurants near me.
