#StaycationInTheCity | Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Atlanta Tuesday 16 August, 2016

I did a night #StaycationInTheCity of Atlanta with The Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta-Downtown. The hotel housed in a beautifully renovated historic building and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places; the hotel in downtown Atlanta was built in 1927 and provides a charming retreat with modern amenities. I had an amazing stay in the heart of the city, I just needed a break from my own home to unwind, change of scenery and to actually do some work without distracting myself at my own place. This was a perfect place in the middle of everything and it was definitely a home away from home feel.

I did say at an actual suite at the Hampton Inn & Suites, so this included a fairly large living room area with a seperate bedroom door. This was so comforting as I was able to relax, do some work in this area before I went to bed. Sometimes in my home I do my work either in the kitchen area or in my room…and like I said that is distracting so have this comforting space with a work spot as well worked perfect for me.

Next to the workspace is the mini bar + kitchenette area. This included a mini fridge, microwave and sink which on the countertops included coffee maker and items to make your brew.

I stayed in a 1bdrm King Sized Suite and when I say I was comfortable…I was so comfortable. I dont know what it is able hotels and their beds, but it really makes me want to upgrade my own mattress. I got amazing sleep here.

As you can see there is another flat screen TV in the Suite bedroom.

I slept so good. I got the much needed rest. I never sleep this good at home I am serious.

The seperate bathroom is in between the living room area and bedroom and the decor is set up similar to someone’s guest bedroom. I love the little details of the hand, body towels and washcloths. There were plenty just for little old me.

Of course each hotel has their own set of toiletries. I always judge a hotel on their tolitires to see if they skim or give more…and Hampton Inn and Suites definitely gave more. I was impressed because their bath and body products were made by the Neutrogena brand! That was  perfect as I used many of these items on a regular basis at home.

This note stood out to me as this was a very thoughtful hospitality perk. I didn’t need anything this time around but its great to know the front desk will supply you of basic toiletries needs complimentary in case you forgot. I have in the past and had to make trips.

Lobby and Sitting Areas

Im the am I was happy about the complimentary breakfast they served. They had plenty of dining seating for breakfast and beyond.

Additional Seating with TV and plug access

These seating areas were perfect for not just eating but to do work, because although the room is nice…it gives you enough space to do work. I did come down for breakfast and later on came down to do some work before I checked out. It was refreshing to do work and have some good views of the city.
