Strength of Nature Women In Power Private Dinner Wednesday 16 March, 2016
Strength of Nature celebrated Women’s History Month with the “Women in Power” dinner hosted by Strength of Nature’s Global Marketing Director, Charlene Dance at the rustic Studio No. 7 in Atlanta. The beautiful dinner brought together women from various industries, who are leaders, leaders in the making and making a difference in the communities. I am honored I was picked as the selected few women for this wonderful occasion to celebrate Women In Power in Atlanta.
As you can see the ambiance was super intimate and classy. Great energy and beautiful women gathered together to break bread amongst another and engage in some great conversations.
The MENU
During the dinner it was really refreshing as we all went across the room and shared what makes a woman in power & what do we all do to unwind. I actually stated a Woman in Power is BOLD. She has to be bold to be powerful. Even if the road is hard, murky and there are detours. A powerful woman has to be bold to take the risk for her dreams and even handle a little rejection. Bold women don’t give up or keep making excuses and that is powerful!
Also how I unwind is I have to stop being a blogger in my personal life sometimes. We all need to learn to not take 100 selfies and post every move we make on social media. Sometimes enjoy the moment with your friends and loved ones. Don’t let social media distract you in a moment. Take pictures and actually print them out. Also I listen to motivational videos every single day to uplift my spirit and affirm what I need in my life. To ingrain positivity into my subconscious mind!
The night closed with a special presentation to Charlene Dance acknowledging her recent inclusion in the March Issue of Ebony Magazine on stands now. For more information on Strength of Nature visit, www.strengthofnature.
Thanks to Charlene Dance and Nicole Garner (The Garner Circle) for putting together a very beautiful event and inviting me! I definitely feel like I was surrounded by so many positive women in power. I felt the #GirlPower. Check out the hashtags online at #StrengthOfNature #WomenInPower
That sounds like such a great dinner. Look at all those awesome women in one place 🙂
I love it! The dinner itself looked really posh, and I love this new emphasis on being YOU and not being what media says you should be.

I totally agree. I’ve had to train myself to stop photo documenting ever single aspect of my life. I’ve never been big on selfies, but I will stop what I’m doing to take a picture of almost anything.

I love this idea of a women in power dinner. I too have to remind myself not to be a blogger all of the time and to allow myself to just unwind and be with friends and family without getting on social media! 😀

…I think I’m going to do a “Woman in Power is….” photo booth for my next girls night in!!
Wow! This is truly a great event. I’m glad you’re one of the female leaders who are doing a difference in your community. I believe that women are really instrumental in making our society a better place to live in.
I bet the air was electrifying!! OMG! Powerful women together is the best feeling in the world! What a beautiful venue and delicious food!No wonder you had a great time!
We need a modern society with empowered women who have the confidence to lead the nation. It’s nice to meet up with people who have the same beliefs and interact with them. Social media is a great tool to inspire others and spread the message.
I think this is fantastic! I have always said that women should be more interested in building each other up than tearing each other down. Women in power and women in general should be celebrated for all that we can do!
I love attending events like these! The food and environment are always awesome, but it’s about connecting with other like minded women and learning all we can from each other. It looks like you all had an amazing time!
beautiful table. looks like another great event
I definitely agree that social media can take over your life when you are a blogger or online entrepreneur. It’s important that we work on being present in our lives. Sometimes I feel like we spend so much time documenting our lives that we aren’t really living them.
I LOVE this!! Too often we focus on the struggles and hardships we face as biz women and entrepreneurs! I bet sitting around that table, sitting with other incredible and powerful women was wonderfully refreshing!
“We all need to learn to not take 100 selfies and post every move we make on social media.<-I have no problems with that. I am the only blogger that avoids the camera as much as possible. I love blogging but I avoid step and repeats and hate being IN photos! Odd I know! 🙂
