During Essence Festival, I had the privilege of attending an exclusive STARZ event, where the platform celebrated the power of storytelling, authentic representation, and their unwavering dedication to #TakeTheLead in shaping a positive cultural impact through their television programming.

They hosted an exclusive and captivating #TakeTheLead Day Party, where attendees immersed themselves in a vibrant atmosphere, indulged in delectable food and drinks, and had the opportunity to connect with and listen to panel discussions featuring cast members from STARZ’s beloved shows P-Valley, Power, and Run The World.

Joseph Sikora, known for his portrayal of Tommy (STARZ’s Power series, including Power, Power Book II: Ghost, and Power Book IV: Force) and Nicco Annan, acclaimed for his role as Uncle Clifford (STARZ’s P-Valley), stood as the male representation for their respective shows.

Unfortunately, the ongoing Writers’ Strike has caused a delay in the release of P-Valley Season 3, and the premiere date is yet to be announced (TBA).

At the STARZ #TakeTheLead Day Party, the spotlight shone on the exceptionally talented leading ladies of STARZ’s Run The World, including Corbin Reid, Bresha Webb, and Amber Stevens West, as they took part in a captivating panel discussion, giving fans an inside look into their show.

The highly anticipated second season of STARZ’s Run The World, featuring eight thrilling episodes, made its debut on Friday, May 26, at 9:30 pm ET/PT on Starz.
