Trending at Sephora Event | Rebel Eye Look Thursday 11 August, 2016

What’s buzzing in the beauty industry is a new trend featuring Rebel Eyes. Myself and other Atlanta lifestyle/beauty bloggers were  invited to be the first to experience this all new Rebel Eye class with a Sephora PRO, explore our in-store and mobile technologies and services, and do a little private shopping at Lenox Square Mall. So what are Rebel Eyes?

Rebel Eyes is a newish beauty concept which means all eyes are on…you EYES. The eyes are the star of the show and they glisten and gleam with boldness and sparkle. The beauty pros at Sephora are dubbing the trend “Rebel Eyes,” which includes everything from smudgy eyeliner to  an overload of glitter. From my understanding of the Rebel Eye trend, the more glitter the better!

We got to see a demo of how to do a Rebel Eye for ourselves. We were taught to smudge on a black base of eyeliner and then play around with a glittery eyeshadow palette. There are so many different ways to play with the look but the goal of this trend is not to be perfect. The imperfections of the smudge and glitter on the eye, thats the rebellion of this beauty trend!

Now it’s our turn to recreate the trends. Sephora once again gave us some beauty goodies to get started to start our own eye Rebellion. Not gonna lie, we were all a little intimidated at first – this was a first for a lot of us to go this bold on our eyes.

Before the Rebel Eye

My Mermaid Gradient Rebel Eye

tte. It was very pigmented, glittery and fun to use. The secret to getting to glitter to stay on the eyes is to use a Glitter Glue.

So this is my look! I went with a Mermaid-like Rebel Eye. I played with the new Urban Decay Moondust palette. It was very pigmented, glittery and fun to use. The secret to getting to glitter to stay on the eyes is to use a Glitter Glue. I loved it and even bought some for myself so I can do more glittery Rebel Eyes at home.

This Moondust Palette by Urban Decay is everything!

Glittered Winged Liner

So after my Rebel Eye class, I wanted some products so I can go home and recreate the look for myself. I bought the Tarte Clay Pot to make amazing winged liners. I bought the angled liner to go with it. Another thing is the Glitter Glue I was speaking of earlier. This Glitter Glue helps with the glitter to stay on the eye all day and not drop off during the day. I can attest to this Glitter Glue to working because I literally had to scrub it off at the end of my usage. So if you are looking to do your own Rebel Eye, a glitter glue adhesive is your secret weapon!
