Tyler Perry’s new thriller, A Fall From Grace is now streaming on Netflix. This is Tyler Perry’s first collaboration with Netflix and his second thriller after Acrimony. This film was impressively shot in five days in the new Tyler Perry studios in Atlanta. Atlanta had a private screening at SCADSHOW where Tyler Perry and the lead of this film, Crystal Fox, made an appearance during the event.

Fun Fact: Full circle moment for Tyler Perry, the Atlanta exclusive screening was held at SCADShow, which used to be the 14th Street Playhouse. Perry realized that was the same location he had funded his first play in 1993, one that failed miserably. Now 28 years later, he screens his first Netflix original film here with a very excited crowd with a rave ending reaction.

A Fall from Grace stars Tyler Perry, Crystal Fox, Mehcad Brooks, Phylicia Rashad, Bresha Webb and Cicely Tyson.
Synopsis
Grace Waters (Crystal Fox) , a woman who finds love with a handsome stranger (Mehcad Brooks) after her ex-husband’s affair. However, things aren’t quite what they seem and the only person who can help Grace put her life back together is a rookie public defender (Bresha Webb).

What is beautiful about this film that Tyler Perry wanted to make this very female focused. He especially wanted to honor Crystal Fox by providing her with her 1st leading role after decades of supporting roles and films. Crystal Fox is currently an ensemble star of Perry’s most successful OWN show “The Haves and the Have Nots” the past seven years. “I wanted to give Crystal her first shot at a leading role,” he said. “She’s a local Atlanta girl who had never had this type of opportunity before and she nails it!”

Quick Review:
I will say I enjoyed the film. This is not your average romantic thriller. Tyler will definitely throw you for a loop with this film, you wont have it all figured out. Its a very crazy twist at the end. I recommend you stream and a see the breaking point for yourself. I will say Crystal Fox give some of the best facial expressions as an actress. I am so happy Tyler Perry gave her this leading role, she nails and hope she manifest more featured roles because it is well deserved! I can see her reaching legend status as time goes on. It was also great to see female acting legends Phylicia Rashad and Cicely Tyson in the same film together. I am also proud of Bresha Webb in her first thriller role, as I can also see a rise in her career as well.

This movie was so good. I could not stop watching. As a matter of fact, I am taking my Firestick to my mom so she can use my Netflix to see it for herself. I was definitely pleasantly surprised by the boldness of the roles and the storyline.
