ON MY WAY TO WAKANDA IN THE 2017 Lexus GX 460 Thursday 25 January, 2018

I am here for another car review, and I want to say this is the best one yet! This time around I test drove the beautiful Lexus GX 460 and I have to rave on it.

When I got this SUV, I was like “Wow this is a big car”. I was actually slightly intimidated. I don’t think I have drove an SUV this big.  I have explained several times, that I am not an SUV girl. but my views has changed! I am an SUV now with this Lexus GX 460! I am even more sold because of how I can drive this in different weather climates, as I actually got this car when it snowed in Atlanta! Atlanta is known for being HOT (Hotlanta) not cold, and especially not known for snowing. Well it definitely snowed and stuck to the grown and I had to drive on it once with snow.

I will get into all of the specs with the Lexus GX, but yes this SUV was made to tread in snow. The all wheel drive and tires made it actually drivable and I felt good knowing I was able to drive through the snow and ice safely for the first time. Do not make fun of me up-northers! I get it, this is a normal thing for you all but it is not the norm for the south! I feel like a survivor and I think I wouldn’t have had the confidence to drive through this weather without this Lexus.

The Sport Design Package builds on the dynamic style of the GX, amplifying its presence with a commanding front fascia treatment, scarlet taillamp housings and more. The Sport Design Package sets itself even further from the crowd with striking, 18-inch Gunmetal Metallic alloy wheels.*

Those who expect more won’t be surprised when they discover the wide array of features in the GX: meticulous craftsmanship and Linear Espresso wood trim, versatile fold-flat rear seating and convenient technologies that make every day just a little bit easier.
The Linear Espresso or available Mahogany wood trim in every GX is selected by hand for consistency throughout the interior. And the available semi-aniline leather trim is rigorously tested 11 different ways to make sure it is both soft and durable.
The multitude of standard features in the GX also includes subscription-free traffic and weather,* a backup camera* and integrated audio via your iPhone®,* iPod®* or other compatible device, as well as Bluetooth®* wireless audio connectivity.

The numbers speak for themselves: The 4.6-liter V8 engine in the GX delivers an impressive 301 horsepower* and 329 lb-ft of torque* at low rpm, enabling the GX to tow up to 6,500 lb.* And, for peace of mind, Trailer Sway Control* helps detect and prevent excessive trailer movement. And, should you find yourself off the beaten path, you’ll discover that the GX is just as comfortable off-road* as it is on.
Tackle nearly any terrain with the GX. An available Crawl Control* system manages the engine and brakes to optimize traction and help maintain a slow, consistent speed. Downhill Assist Control* works with the Anti-lock Braking System and Active Traction Control to help keep the GX at a slow, constant descent speed. And Hill-start Assist Control* helps increase control during hill climbing, or stopping and starting on slippery hills.
Having power directed to all four wheels all of the time helps give the GX better traction in both on-road and off-road* driving situations. The transfer case can run in locked or unlocked mode, as well as in high or low range.
The ingenious Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System is designed to change with the terrain. By automatically fixing the front and rear stabilizer bars in place when on-road, it helps to minimize body lean while cornering. Off-road,* it allows each wheel to move more independently, so a wheel on uneven ground can react while the other wheels are relatively unaffected.

So you see me standing by the Lexus now, if you notice the snow finally melted. Those two days were somewhat brutal but I can say I made it. I actually drove in snow and nice! Well now that the snow has melted and all, I am literally getting ready to go to Wakanda. Where is Wakanda you asked? Well its the awesome place in the Marvel Studios upcoming movie, Black Panther, and I will be on my way!

Wakanda is a fictional place, and I cant literally roadtrip there (man I would if I could), but Lexus is the official car sponsor of the Black Panther movie. In honor of the upcoming movie and Lexus collaboration with the film I wanted to share their commercial and information!

A Super charged Collaboration

Riding a top the Lexus LC 500, the title character from Marvel Studios Black Panther stars in “Long Live the King,”  the launch commercial for the all-new 2018 Lexus LS 500 that will air first during the Big Game. Completely reimagined, the LS 500 is the most technologically advanced vehicle Lexus has ever produced. Making it a great fit for King T’Challa/Black Panther, the monarch for the most technologically advanced society on Earth. With amazing stunts and driving demonstrations, “Long Live The King” shows why the LS 500 is the luxury performance sedan that takes the crown. See Lexus in action in Marvel Studios Black Panther, in theaters February 16th.

Im ready for Wakanda and I enjoyed my wonderful ride in the Lexus GX 460.

Have you ever drove in the snow?
