Where to Brunch in Georgia: Nana’s Chicken and Waffles Wednesday 04 April, 2018

I found a new brunch spot in Georgia and its an ALL Day brunch experience with a NOLA flair with Nana’s Chicken and Waffles.
Nana’s is a family oriented, Louisiana/Maryland style diner. Our goal is to provide fresh, hot, and comforting food that will make you feel at home, while giving you a little peak inside the cuisine of Louisiana and Maryland.
Nana’s is open Mon-Sun until 4pm to get your all day access to brunch!
The restaurant is set up Mom & Pop diner style. Jazz music is playing in the background as you dine in!

New Orleans Style Beignets Served with powdered sugar and peach raspberry marmalade
I have yet to see beignets here in Atlanta so this was an awesome treat to see this on the menu as a sweet starter.

Fried Grit Cakes Topped with roasted corn shrimp & crawfish étouffée sauce
Hands down my favorite starter! I am coming back for this alone, this was so good and the crawfish bites added to the flavor!

Fried Green Tomatoes with pimento cheese, & applewood bacon
This was my friend’s favorite starter! She couldn’t stop raving about these.

Tropical Mimosas with Nanas Chicken and Waffles
You can’t have brunch without mimosas. They have traditional mimosas, but they have a tropical option and it was delicious. Love the presentation, they go great with the Nanas Chicken and Waffles!

Nana’s Chicken & Waffles (pictured Apple Cinnamon Waffle) Three golden fried chicken wings & your choice of waffles: Red Velvet ~ Corn Bread ~ Banana Nut ~ Apple Cinnamon (Won Best Taste Of Conyers) ~ Malted Traditional ~ Blueberry Served With Hot Butter Syrup
I see why the Apple Cinnamon won the Best Taste of Conyers, because this was one of the best waffles I ever tasted. The apples are made into the waffle! Add this with the hot maple syrup and you have an amazing combo of flavors. I have to come back and this this flavor again!

Build A Waffle – Banana Nut
If you are a banana pudding fan, you will love this waffle.
I love the Nola flair to the menu. Other menu highlights include Uncle Butch Crawfish Bites, Cajun Shrimp & Grits, Breakfast Southern Fried Catfish, Salmon Croquets (Like Your Mama Made), Cajun Shrimp and Catfish Po’Boys, Fried Green Tomato BLT, and Fish & Grits.

There is nothing better than fried chicken! If you can get Southern Fried chicken, then you’re golden! Judging by your pictures, it looks like Nana’s would be THE place to go in Atlanta!

You got my attention just by saying chicken and waffles and that mouth-watering picture. I haven’t been to Georgia in years. We used to go often when I was younger and lived in South Florida. Wanna make a trip for this food LOL
What a fun way to make the green tomatoes. Brunch is definitely the best meal of the day. Prolly cuz it’s so rare to get to do it. 🙂
