Where to Eat Atlanta : Dantanna’s Wednesday 22 February, 2017
Kiwi the Foodie returns and I am reviewing Dantanna’s in Sandy Springs. Dantanna’s combines culinary excellence with the entertainment value of sports to create the ultimate restaurant experience. This is Atlanta’s only upscale sports restaurant that exudes the sophistication of a five-star restaurant and the entertainment of having a private box at your favorite game.
So think of a sports bar that has that five star restaurant feel. Fine dining while watching your favorite sports game. The best of both worlds. It’s a date night and game night all in one experience and good food to match.
I started with these Cajun Chicken Eggrolls. I was told these were the most popular appetizers on the menu and I see why. Definitely flavorful eggrolls and the creole sauce gave it an extra kick. I will definitely be returning just to get these each time!
Lets talk about the Dantanna’s Famous Burgers! What makes them famous is that they only use grass-fed well nurtured farm animals for all of their meals. Especially their beef. This means that animals that are farm bred to the table, they are nurtured on a great farm to make the most sustainable meal and healthier raised for less total fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, and calories. They are raised on high-quality pasture is the key to high-quality animal products that is important to the Dantanna’s food culture.
This is the Tavern Burger. It is your all American burger with a little egg and lots of flavor. You can tell the quality of the beef in this burger, which you can tell is from the grass-fed quality. Its good to know their food comes from a sustainable farm with integrity and taste like it too.
Last I did order dessert! I love a great dessert, even better if it has a fun spin on it. This is bread pudding, aka Krispy Kreme bread pudding. Datanna’s actually order Krispy Kreme donuts locally and make this awesome dessert topped with vanilla ice cream. This was amazing and it’s definitely something you would want to share!
I loved the ambiance of Dantanna’s and really enjoyed the food. It’s not your typical sports spot, it definitely has that upscale appeal. In the hotter months you can even dine outside, and I think there are people who even frequent with cigar usage, so another win for manland. Don’t worry that is reserved for outside only. Inside have a mixture of booths and tables. The booths are actually amazing as they are pretty long and can fit surprisingly 6 people very comfortably.
Its a grown and sexy place. Perfect for a date night, and girltalk night (maybe to look for some single men too), or a place to definitely watch the game from your typical bar. Great mix of traditional dishes and some upscale cuisine too!

I love how restaurants are getting creative with egg rolls these days. They’re so much fun.
