WHERE TO STAY IN MEXICO CITY: CHAYA B&B | Bed and Breakfast Boutique Hotel Wednesday 03 July, 2019
Chaya B&B is the unique and prime Mexico City Boutique Bed and Breakfast that I had a pleasure of staying in on my first trip to this city. Located in the heart of Mexico City, facing the Alameda Park , Chaya rests on the top of a recently renovated building that has refreshed the area with new shops, restaurants, and projects, infusing Downtown Mexico City with the spirit of youth.
Chaya definitely aims to provide travelers with inspiration and comfort by going back to the roots of hospitality . Their Bed & Breakfast is more than just a place to stay. Chaya is located on top of Barrio Alameda which is a recently renovated 1920´s building that has revitalized the city’s downtown area with an array of different creative projects from a selection of Mexico City’s most cutting edge entrepreneurs, restaurateurs and designers. The location is perfect and allows you to feel immersed in the energy of the city. But outside the location, Chaya does a beautiful job with minimalist boho chic modern naturalist decor. It was beautiful. Check out some of the cute detail of the property interior and exterior!
INTERIOR DETAILS
The amazing details of Chaya was stunning. It was so my style. It gives you modern Mexico with a mininalist and naturalist twist. It gives you vibes of Traditional Mexican decor along with new age style. It blended so perfectly and accented the hotel with the little details. Little touchs of crystals, clay pots, branding, colorful aztec designs, and a little glimpse of natural in each corner. Greenery is so important here inside and out of the boutique bed and breakfast.
EXTERIOR DETAILS
What makes Chaya B&B boutique hotel unique is the lush greenery! I was in love. So many plants, cactus and just lovely nature all over the exterior of this place. On your way to your room one is always greeted with a plant greenhouse vibe walkway. There is a little nook area as well that replicates a desert full of cactus. It almost makes you forget you are in the heart of one of the biggest cities in the world and feels you are either in the desert or the jungle. So peaceful and beautiful. You will definitely zen out to the vibes here with all of these nature elements to make you feel more relaxed here.
ROOM
Chaya B&B is beautiful but very intimate. It’s an 11 room location; Two stunning suites and nine airy rooms with views of either the Alameda Park (Mexico City’s Central Downtown location). The Artisan design doesn’t just stop in the interior lobby or the exterior. Its even present in the room. All the little details are evident here and plenty of natural light and boho vibe in each night stay!

DAILY HAPPY HOUR at CHAYA
Happy Hour is daily at Chaya BNB. The hours from 5:30pm-7pm daily come down to the main community dining area and have a drink! You can choose between wine, beer (Mexican IPAs) and even Mezcal shots. I really enjoy knowing they have unique Mexican select beers (even though I am not a beer girl). Happy hour is also a great way to meet people and mingle with other travelers staying in Chaya!
I would like to give a special mention to Chaya BnB front desk host Gabrielle. He is bi-lingual in Spanish and English and he stayed with my friend & I for the entire happy hour and chatted with us! He was always nice and hospitable, but he went the extra mile to make us comfortable and we made a friend in him! He was a joy and look at his cute sweater!
MINI PHOTOSHOOT at CHAYA
I couldnt leave this cute hotel without doing a cute Mexican boho chic photoshoot. It was so my vibe and energy its only right so enjoy some of my fun festive photo during my stay at Chaya B&B.
This place is in the heart of the busy and energetic Mexico City but you will feel like you are in the middle of peaceful nature. If you love nature asethics and boho modernism like me you will have a great time here.
