Tasha Cyril, acclaimed founder of The Tasha Belle Group, is set to transform Atlanta’s culinary scene with the launch of J’ouvert Caribbean Kitchen and Bar on March 20, 2024, opening its doors at 9 a.m. ET.
This new venture marks Cyril’s latest innovation, combining her St. Lucian roots with flavors from Trinidad, Jamaica, and Haiti, building on her success with Belle & Lily’s, APT 4B, and Ms. Icey’s. J’ouvert is poised to offer a vibrant and diverse menu celebrating Caribbean cuisine.
Named after the vibrant St. Lucian Carnival festival, “J’ouvert” reflects the exuberant early morning festivities and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. While it shares a thematic connection with Belle & Lily’s, J’ouvert presents a distinct culinary experience.
Highlights from the menu feature pina colada French toast, passion fruit pancakes, curry mushroom roti, Trinidadian doubles (curried chickpea sandwiches), corn soup, scotch bonnet shrimp, and a comforting braised pulled lamb recipe reminiscent of Cyril’s grandmother’s cooking.
