I am excited to share that the new thriller classic, SPELL, is now out everywhere on Blu-Ray + Digital. This film stars the incredible Omari Hardwick and legendary Loretta Devine. This was an amazing storyline and great thriller to get into from beginning until the end. This film has gotten a lot of buzz being compared to the 1990 thriller classic, Misery, but trust this film is in its own lane. The comparisons are a little notable, but check out the trailer for yourself to see the theme of the thriller and get a little spooked out!

Synopsis: While flying to his father’s funeral in rural Appalachia, an intense storm causes Marquis to lose control of the plane carrying himself and his family. He soon awakens wounded, alone and trapped in Ms. Eloise’s attic. Eloise claims she can nurse him back to health with a hoodoo figure she’s made from his blood and skin. Unable to call for help, Marquis desperately tries to break free from her dark magic and save his family from a sinister ritual before the rise of the blood moon.
I highly recommend this horror/thriller film. Its a very intense film but refreshing storyline and it was enjoyable to watch. Omari’s performance was very well done, as well as the iconic Loretta Devine. It was refreshing to also see Loretta in a different role, as she is usually typecasted in Hollywood as a matriarch role. Good to see her outside of the box and show of her amazing acting range in a thriller. She convinced me of her crazy and it just made the film even more creepy. Outside of the hoodoo/voodoo aspects, its not so much scary as it is just a very intense thriller. So I wouldn’t say its scary at all, but parts of the film will leave you in utter shock. Its a thriller after all so the entire point is to be shocked and thrilled!
Omari is just overall beautiful to look at, and you will think in the beginning he was James St.Patrick (Ghost) all over again from his highly acclaimed role in STARZ POWER, but as you see the story unfold you see his character mold into this memorable thriller! It was great to also see him in a thriller role and happy to say this is going to be a new classic horror thriller to talk about for years to come!
