Food Review | No Mas Cantina Atlanta Valentine’s Day Menu Thursday 11 February, 2016
This Valentine’s Day, No Mas! Hacienda & Cantina is igniting passions with their exciting evening escape to Old Mexico, including a flavorful prix fixe menu curated by executive chef Melody Voirin, followed by the option to take home house-made chocolate truffles and .925 Mexican Silver. In Mexico, as in the United States, Valentine’s Day, or “El Día del Amor y la Amistad,” is an occasion to shower loved ones with declarations and expressions of love, passion and friendship. In honor of this tradition, No Mas! Hacienda & Cantina, located in Atlanta’s historic and art district of Castleberry Hill, is offering a specially-curated menu inspired by the flavors and passions of Mexico.
As the foodie you know I am now, I really enjoyed this Mexican version of Valentine’s Day. Sometimes the Lobster and Steak Meal can be a little cliche, so this was a great mix up. All of the meals was made with love and true authentic Mexican upscale cuisine to indulge in with a love one. Exotic and sensual meals to make this holiday a memorable one!
Jumbo Shrimp and fresh avocado tossed in jalapeno vinaigrette
Fresh mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, toasted pecans, and goat cheese croquette tossed in passion fruit vinaigrette.
Grilled Chicken breast stuffed with spinach, goat cheese, and sundried tomatoes. with Guajillo cream sause. Served with roasted potato medley.
Beef tenderloin with a chipotle chocolate dry rub, served with mixed potatoes au gratin, and herbed stuffed cherry tomatoes.
Baked jumbo shrimp filled with crab stuffing. Served with cilantro rice, black bean croquettes, and pico de gallo.
Molten Lava cake filled with caramel and pecans. Served warm with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
Creamy white chocolate cheesecake swirl with raspberry puree.
Teo chocolate covered strawberries and an assortment of handmade artisan truffles.
In the artisan market we took a little tour where there were lots of little treasures, gems, gifts and more. We were even surprised to pick out our own Mexican silver ring that went with the Valentine Meal. I picked out this pretty heart of course, thats an extra sweet gesture! Love it!
The No Mas! Cantina Valentine’s Day Prix Fixe Menu is $65 per couple. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made at NoMasCantina.com. Those wishing to surprise their lover with a handmade Mexican Silver ring and two truffles can add a ring of their choice to their Prix Fixe meal for $110. Finish by shopping for special handmade gifts in the No Mas! Hacienda Artisan Market.
