FOX’S ROSEWOOD featuring Morris Chestnut | Atlanta TV Show Screening Wednesday 16 September, 2015
Atlanta had a treat as it was able to do a television screening of FOX new upcoming show of ROSEWOOD starring Morris Chestnut. I was invited to the event and other Atlanta media, influencers, socialites and just overall tv enthusiast in anticipated of the new fall lined-up show on FOX. Guest got a chance to be social before the screening at the Cinebistro Brookhaven movie theater and then watch the full episode of ROSEWOOD.
ROSEWOOD Synopsis:Set against the vibrant backdrop of one of the world’s hottest cities – Miami – new medical procedural from executive producer Todd Harthan (“Psych,” “Dominion”), ROSEWOOD is the story of DR. BEAUMONT ROSEWOOD, JR. (Morris Chestnut, “Nurse Jackie,” “The Best Man” franchise), the city’s top private pathologist. Brilliant, cool with tons of charisma, Rosewood teams up with the tough-as-nails DETECTIVE ANNALISE VILLA (Jaina Lee Ortiz, “The After”), to uncover clues no one else sees and help the Miami PD solve the city’s most challenging cases. While she’s impressed by Rosewood’s incredible abilities, his constant optimism is more annoying than it is infectious. But somehow, week-to-week, this unlikely tag team will solve many crimes together. (via FOX.com)
There was a cute social lounge set up for all the attendees in anticipation of the screening that took place at CineBistro Brookhaven in Atlanta. Guest mixed and mingles while ordering complimentary themed drinks that linked with the show. I order the ROSEWOOD naturally.
So let me be blunt, I am gonna be a little bias because I was gonna watch this screening of ROSWOOD, regardless because of the natural sexiness of Morris Chestnut. I didnt care what show he was promoting I was happy to see his eye candy! It’s not enough on Primetime TV like I would like it so this just made me all types of excited. I am used to seeing Morris Chestnut in movies, playing the charmer, someones boyfriend or husband – so upcoming watching the show I realized I never seen him on tv let alone playing an alternate type of role.
So his character, Rosewood, is still charming but a humorous bachelor who runs a successful private pathologist in the heart of Miami solving crimes with his excellent and rapid informative medical forensic knowledge. It’s great to see Morris play a role that shows a lighter side of him, because although he is easy on the eyes — it was refreshing to see him actually be funny! Who says sexy can’t be funny! This show is a mix between Miami Vice, Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and NYPD Blues – action packed with drama, thrills, a little romance and solved crimes! I’m into it…I like the screening of the first episode (that will air Sept.23rd) and definitely can’t wait for more of how the show will play out!

I am not a fan on MC and I had no plans on watching this show- however I love that more and more Black actors/actresses are getting lead roles on major networks so I might give it a lil attention. Thanks for sharing!
